I was thinking about what an Obama/Clinton administration would be like,
and one of the first thoughts that came to me was what would happen when the Vice President's husband was caught taking money from the wrong people.

Seriously, take a look at the amount of money Bill's raked in over the last 7 years and look at some of the people he's been associated with. It's common for ex-presidents to be paid outlandish amounts for making a speech. Introducing someone to an important contact is also good for a donation to a Presidential Library or foundation. Do you see Bill CLinton stepping away from making money? Do you see him going on as he has without causing a scandal?

5. I wouldn't worry about that, I'd worry about subtle sabotage of
every proposal Obama made to ensure that she be given the top of the ticket in 2012!

6. Do you also sit around thinking about how Santa treats his elves
and whether he follows union rules and which days they get off to make up for missing any "Christmas Vacation"???

Because both situations have an equal amount of reality attached to them.

8. It may sound like fantasy to you, but answer two questions:
1. How much money has Bill Clinton made since leaving the White House?

2. How did he make it?

10. That's a topic for a real thread. I just can't point out more strongly
that a joint ticket is not going to happen and that it sure as heck ain't electable.

It's a REAL thing that Obama will face a challenge from deep seated prejudices that still infect our populace if he's the nominee. It's a REAL thing that Hillary would be trying to accomplish a similarly new departure by being the first woman president, but that more of a stumbling block would be how much people hate the Clintons in general, and her, more specifically.

The idea of tying these two things together is just madness, imo.

9. I remember Bill Clinton's administration being very transparent...
I think Bill Clinton wouldn't do anything that would harm his wife's administration. Just as Michelle Obama wouldn't do anything to harm her husband's administration.

They'd work out their differences, get on the same page and have a united front. They're not immature selfish people who care more about themselves than the US...unlike the repukes currently in the WH.

13. No, he didn't...
His administration survived just fine regardless. It's a lot of repuke busybodies who thought it was everyone's business...especially since that was all they could come up with after years of searching and spending millions of dollars.

12. Look what harm Bill Clinton did to his own administration!
Sure, the Right Wing jumped all over Monica-gate like cats on red meat, but someone as smart as Bill Clinton should have noticed what happened to Gary Hart and should have realized he was handing a weapon to his enemies. I just don't seeing him having the self control to turn down the wrong deal. Look at one of the deals he's been involved with already:

15. His administration survived just fine...
Everyone knows what that whole mess was really about. It was repukes attempting to push him out of office and all they could come up with was him lying about a blowjob. After spending years searching and millions of dollars, they came up with that...and still couldn't get enough support from the American people to get him out of the WH.

I'm still amazed that there are some here on DU who fall for RW talking points.

18. Bush/Clinton issue would keep coming up
It would be a disaster. Obama will lose me if he picks her as VP. I would fear for him. It also would not be good to get elected. He needs someone with experience in a few areas.

24. That's precisely why I don't want him stained by their filthy ways
If Obama loses and she wins, fine. But he should keep far away from her. This is her last act, he has many more chances to run if he doesn't win. Even if Clinton did beat McCain she's a radioactive one and done president the second she's sworn in.
