Gov. Ed Rendell, PA, Press Release
3/5/2008
Statement from Governor Ed Rendell on Yesterday’s Election Results
"Last night made clear that there has been a momentum shift in this race. Despite being outspent two-to-one, despite Sen. Obama benefiting from outside political funds, and despite all of the glowing press coverage he received leading up to March 4th, voters ultimately chose Senator Clinton. I am confident that Hillary is heading into Pennsylvania with momentum and a new energy.

"The people of Pennsylvania are focused on the two largest issues facing our nation - the state of our economy and national security. On both counts, Pennsylvanians understand how important it is to elect someone who is truly ready to become President and Commander-in-Chief. Hillary is ready to lead our nation, returning us to both prosperity and peace.

"We look forward to making our voice heard in the coming days and playing our part in determining the Democratic nominee. And when we do, the people of Pennsylvania will send a clear message - we want a President who is ready, not one we hope will one day be ready."

you know Clintons protect the Bushes. And all of you tainted powerstructure Dems NEED Clintons to continue the protection of BushInc.

18. So - many believe Iraq was filled with Al Qaeda camps. Truthtellers don't rely on what's believed
after the media pushes to shape what people 'believe' do they?

Teresa was and still is one of Pennsylvania's most beloved citizens. So are her sons. And Kerry had PLENTY of Pennsylvania vets who were staunch supporters and knew the swifts were hooey.

Couldn't be because of GHWBush and Jackson Stephens, now could it?

10. good news for Senator Hillary
Governor Rendell base is in Philly and the surrounding suburbs, which is suppose to be Senator Obama's "base." If Rendell can win Philly for Clinton, then she's going to win by a health margin because Pittsburgh gonna go for Clinton.

him as a supporter.

Including saying a couple of weeks ago that people in PA are racist.

Since he seems to know so much. Maybe other than a clear message, he can find out about transparency for us.

14. The Clinton people are going to make this an ugly war.
Personally, I'm giving real hard consideration to becoming an progressive independent that votes for democrats after this election. I feel beaten up for going on years now. Something's not right. I've about had enough. Reps that never listen. Reps that sell us down the river on critical votes. Reps that protect republican malfeasance. And soon to come, reps that may work the system against candidates they disagree with many people on. I'm getting tired. If I don't matter, I can't figure out why I should expect things to get better.

When can we expect to hear you insulting your constituents again, claiming that white Pennsylvanians are racist and won't vote for a black candidate?

And Rendell is a friend to very few here, even less after those comments.

30. Yep. But the relationship has soured since.
He's done several high-profile things to screw over the city such as trying to force slot machine casinos near residential neighborhoods. He needs to be careful with pushing Hillary too hard because Philly and its surrounding suburbs are PRIME Obama territory. As those areas go, so goes the state.

Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 08:53 PM by ProudToBeLiberal
because of the extra revenue he's getting from the slot machines.

anyway, Governor Rendell has always had a rocky relationship with the extreme elements in Philly, like the MOVE organization, but I think he'll be able to get a good mainstream chunk go with Senator Clinton.
