13. remind me again when the voters decided or agreed |
|
to the DNC rules?
Turns out they didn't It was the party officials in the states that did. Strip the superdelegates of their votes. They were the miscreats. Don't strip the voters.

17. If you change the rules now, you disenfrachise the voters that... |
|
didn't take off of work or didn't spend valuable time at the dinner table or doing homework with their children because they were told they wouldn't count. It would be a disgrace to change the rules and except the outcome that left out way too many people. Either stick with the rules or the primaries there should be given a new date so the voters are not disenfranchised. Anyone that feels differently is only going after extra votes for Clinton and TRULY don't care about the voters.
So, whats it going to be, leave the rules in place and disenfranchise the voters while giving neither candidate an advantage, change the rules now so some voters aren't disenfranchised and one candidate gets an advantage or set new dates so ALL of the people of those states are counted? Is this about disenfranchising voters or is this about giving one candidate an advantage? People need to make up their minds.

7. That was already calculated in the 2025. If you add them, the number goes up. |

8. The lawsuits Florida and Michigan would file... |
|
...would probably drag this through even more mud. The only way I can think of that would work would be split them 50/50. That way, the votes count, but no one is hurt or helped by it- well, except for the voter of each state. For that, they can thank their respective party officials.

10. they already have if you include fFL or MI you have to raise the 2024 number |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 08:10 PM by grantcart
by the way the number is 2024 not 2025. With FL/MI the number is 2207.5

11. 2025 is the subtracted number |
|
4416 was the original total, 2025 is what you get after the MI and FL delegates are subtracted and the result divided by 2. If FL and Mi are included then the goal to reach is 2178. http://www.boston.com/news/politics/2008/primaries/about_national_delegates/

seriously. The rules are complicated, and if you don't know them one shouldn't feel shamed in asking about it. :)

15. The 2024 number does not include FL and MI |
|
2024 is needed to win now, as there are 4047 delegates available WITHOUT FL and MI. So a candidate must win at least by 2024-2023 to win, 2023.5-2023.5 would result in an exact tie and a second ballot. If FL and MI are seated, the target moves from 2024 to 2208. It is also possible that the FL and MI pledged delegates would be seated but not the superdelegates which would make the target 2181.
