21. And, by the way, Obama's Senate district of south Chicago represents nearly 700,000 people
so trying to denigrate it is a small-town position is despicable on your part.

25. huh?
Senate district?

Illinois has two Senators - Obama and Durbin. I get to vote for both. I don't live in "South Chicago" whatever that is.

17. if true, what is your point? Did the people not trust him? did he not get things done?
If you are talking about electability, he is currently winning. IF Clinton can not beat Obama with delegates, how is she going to beat McCain?

All this talk about blue states, Obama has won more, AND NO DEM IS GOING TO LOSE A BLUE STATE.

26. He won a tough primary for the Senate in 2004
He started out as a long-shot against 2 well-funded opponents and several other candidates.

27. and he was de facto unopposed when he ran for US Senate
Alan Keyes??

Those not familiar with the facts: His repub opponent had to quit the race when his then-pending divorce exposed the fact he had been pressuring his wife to go to swapping parties or clubs or some such. When he quit, the pugs looked around for a candidate, found nobody willing, finally brought idiot Keyes in from out of state to fill the empty slot on the ticket. Obama won handily. He very well might have beat the guy who bailed too, for all I know; he was polling well and tha's why they couldn't find anyone. But Keyes was a non-opponent.

11. He spent all his time running for higher office
He did nothing of substance in his years in public office besides getting his friends to "billjack" high profile legislation and put his name on it.

18. Excuse Me?
"billjack" "nothing of substance" ?

I find that pretty offensive, and it makes you look uneducated. Obama sponsored 823 bills in his eight years in the Illinois Senate (that would be over 100 bills a year) if you would like to reak about it you can click here

HOW can you call 233 Bills on HEALTH CARE nothing?

125 Bills re: POVERTY and PUBLIC assistance? NOTHING?

Ps. these are issues near and dear to most Dem's hearts.....

22. "Elected" makes a difference?
That is not the only criteria for people given trust.

Hillary was active in the 70's. Barack was born in 1961. Get it?

29. Hillary's claims are bogus....
Under her assumption about experience, Laura Bush only needs a full senate term before she should run for Prez. After all, she was married to a WAR TIME president. Right? Give me a break!
