She beat us fair and square.
Congrats to her and her supporters.
We've lost some ground, but we still have the lead.
All we can do is prepare for the next contests and internalize the lessons we've learned from this loss.

1. It was a loss only in perception, not in delegates. I consider it a strategic victory
considering the make-up of voters, and the extent of Hillary's leads prior to March 4th

The one about the Obama campaign's predictions.

That gave me a shot in the arm like you wouldn't believe. Obama has an amazing team behind him.

21. I know. I know.
It actually sent a chill up my spine - that's how accurate and how prepared they are.

That's why Hillary is desperately trying to dig up dirt. There's no other way to stop him. The superdelegates won't overturn a 75 pledged delegate lead.

32. In my opinion, Clinton needs an Obama disaster
Anything short of that, it's up to the superdelegates and I don't think they are going to throw the race if anyone has a 50 delegate lead or more.

Obama needs to fight but his path looks far stronger than hers.

9. While I appreciate the sentiment, Elrond Hubbard
In all honesty, I'd have to know what your definition of "fair and square" is in order to give the high five and all. All in all, I realize politics is politics, so in that sense, I hear ya. As for the rest of it, for a positive post.

17. You have good reason to be hopeful. Look at it this way...
Barack Obama is guaranteed to do no worse than VP. He will be on the Democratic ticket no matter what.

It's like when a football team clinches a playoff berth in week 12, but it's yet to be determined whether it's as a wild-card or division winner.

Hillary would gladly trade places with him.

You guys are in excellent shape.

If Hillary weren't practicing the politics of destruction, it might be possible. By August, they'll be loathing each other enough out loud that the idea of "unity" between these two will be out the window. And Hillary would NEVER settle for the VP slot. She knows that this is the only chance she has at the Presidency. If Obama wins, Hillary will be 70 years old by the time she's able to run again (assuming he wins two terms). You think the media will go easy on an old lady running for president? I can see it now.

**edited to clarify the whole 70-year old remark.

43. Obama/Clinton isn't a real possibility
It's a bad ticket, and Obama would be wrong to offer it. And she would be foolish to take it.

My point was that Obama is guaranteed to be on the ticket, not that Hillary is.

If--speaking only hypotheticaly--she won, it would be close and divisive and she would have no choice but to offer him the slot. Whether he accepted the offer is his call.

But no matter how things go, he will at very least be offered the VP slot.

45. Agreed
I think it was rather unfortunate that the Canadian crap came out the weekend before Ohio. It shows that there was something intentional about the timing. Also the fact that Hillary sold out the Democratic Party on national security by siding with McCain really knocked Obama off his game.

We will win this nomination, however. Apparently Hillary hasn't learned a damn thing from her losses and intends to skip Wyoming and Mississippi. Obama will gain a larger delegate margin in those states than she did in her two wins yesterday. I think Hillary is making a critical error by not fighting for every delegate. She can talk about PA all she wants, and how she supposedly gets to decide what states should count as far as spin, but spin and media manipulation will not win the nomination. Delegates will.
