DU is Obamaunderground. My friends, please come and look inside

Obama supporters: "Hillary says McCain is better than Obama"

Me: Obama said Hillary is the same as McCain!

source:

"John McCain and Senator Clinton echo each other in dismissing this call for change. They say it is eloquent but empty; speeches and not solutions. And yet, they should know that it’s a call that did not begin with my words."

"They (John McCain and Senator Clinton) should know that there’s nothing empty about the call for affordable health care that came from the young student who told me she gets three hours of sleep because she works the night shift after a full day of college and still can’t pay her sister’s medical bills."

Clinton's health care plan is JUST like McCain's!

*gasp*

source:http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/03/barack_obamas_march_4_speech.html

Obama during the Texas Debate on Feb 21: "When I released my plan a few months later, we were in a debate and Senator Clinton said we all want universal health care. Of course, I was down 20 points in the polls at the time, and so my plan was pretty good. It's not as good now, but my plan hasn't changed. The politics have changed a little bit."

Senator Clinton's health care plan doesn't look so good now to Obama, after he lost Ohio and Texas. The politics have changed a little bit. Is Obama a hypocrite? Does his rhetoric match his action?

3. Dennis Kucinich's health plan was the best, but not the point of this topic.

4. Except if you're a woman and want reproductive choice.
But that's not the point of the topic. I'm not really sure what the point of the topic is, mind you, but that's not it.

10. No, I'm saying that Kucinich has a history of being anti-choice.
Not the first person I'd turn to regarding health matters.

11. That's a fair comment, although unrelated to this topic.
This topic being that there's too much unfair bias against Hillary on DU.

30. Actually, it's not a fair comment in regards to DK's Single Payer Health Care plan.
Kucinich has been nothing but pro-choice for years. To imply that somehow the Kucinich plan would have outlawed abortion is totally fucking disingenuous.

The bottom line is, Single Payer is the way to go- unfortunately DK was the only candidate willing to stand up for such a proposal and risk the ire of the massive insurance industry.

I wasn't going to point it out, though. I don't think either of them should be giving mcShame any credit.

13. I agree with you entirely, and I never thought I would see a double
standard at a place like DU, but Obama's supporters (and I am one of them) are really disgusting.

20. AGirl hits it right on the money
This place is suddenly filled with Obama trolls and they seem to be near a nervous breakdown if the celestial one is upset. Obama hates losing judging by his disposition today but he needs to get used to that.

If so, I am truly surprised. I thought he had iron self control when he was losing. I need to re-evaluate my impressions.

18. He's been comparing Hillary to repukes for months. Compared her to gouliani, romney in a debate,
and booed as he should have been.

Sheesh, like the fake outrage will erase people's memories. Well, not in OH, RH, or TX, evidently.

19. From First hand experience...
I saw Obama in Ohio Sunday, March 2. He did not trash Hillary. He actually said their health plans were very similar. they both have the same goal, they just differ in the way they get there. Hillary is also having a rally about 2 miles away and from the excerpts I see in the news, she trashes Obama. She trashes him on experience, she trashes him on his superior speaking skills. She trashes him on his health care plan. All in all, Obama's rally was about Obama...Hillary's rally was about Obama.....hmmmm...

23. Clinton and McCain both want to attack Iran
Both voted for legislation that absurdly declares part of Iran's military to be "a terrorist organization." They will use that as a justification for war if elected.

31. Well, no.
And you pretty much haven't grasped our problems here if you think so. We don't have the money to attack a hot dog stand, let alone a VERY large nation full of rested, well-trained, pissed-off soldiers.

But a presidential contender CANNOT tie his own hands. So attack is an option until an agreement removes it from consideration. This is a negotiating ploy. Our real problem is that pretty much everyone now knows our threats are empty. If we attack, we can't follow up. We don't have the soldiers, we don't have the equipment, we don't have the spare parts, and we really don't have the money.

Stop talking like it's 1986. THINGS HAVE CHANGED. Face it.
