Anyone see Bill Bradley spinning for Obama on Jim Lehrer tonight? |
|
About the super delegates--he is trying to let Kerry, Kennedy and Patrick off the hook. The Obama campaign and Jesse Jackson insisting that supers vote with their people but it started looking hypocritical after BO lost Massachusetts.
Well, Bradley is going with the threat of a challenge in one's district if they don't do the right thing, i.e. vote for BO.
He's come to the conclusion that since Kerry and Kennedy can withstand a challenge, that threatening others who aren't as entrenched is the way to bend the supers to their will.
And, that is correct, it's mostly the black congress people who are getting it bad. Bradley says they have people to run against them, know how to organize, the whole nine yards.
I really hope this story gets huge. I wonder how much money Obama has already put into these challenge threats.
Let the truth come out.

3. Your mistake is in the Hillary definition of SD's going with the pledged delegates |
|
The Hillary camp says it to imply precinct by precinct, state by state.
The Obama camp means it as the SD's should follow the national lead in pledged delegates.
The will of the people, as in the entire country, not as in each little precinct.
The Hillary version results in the same result (the delegates were pledged, the national results dont change), but it makes for good campaign spin to lay into Obama's SD's from states he hasnt won as if they are somehow unpatriotic for remaining with the person with the most pledged delegates.

4. Then why are they threatening black supers in various districts to go |
|
with the constituents or face a challenge to their seats?
The national picture has not been clarified yet. Add to that the fact that this arm-twisting began some time ago.
They keep changing to accommodate the situation so that any scenario favors Obama.
