Hillary's campaign "expressing openness" to a do-over in FL and MI.
WASHINGTON - Officials in Michigan and Florida are showing renewed interest in holding repeat presidential nominating contests so that their votes will count in the epic Democratic campaign.

The governors of both states, along with top officials in Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign, are now saying they would consider holding a sort of do-over contest by June. That's a change from their previous insistence that the primaries their states held in January should determine how the states' delegates are allocated.

---

Clinton has been insisting that the desires of more than 2 million people who cast Democratic ballots in the two states should be reflected at the convention, which would help her catch up with Obama's delegate lead. Obama has said he wants to see the delegates from the two critical swing states participate, too, but not if Clinton is rewarded for victories in boycotted primaries.

Now the Clinton campaign has begun expressing openness to a do-over. "Let's let all of the voters go again if they are willing to do it," said Clinton adviser Terry McAuliffe Tuesday night on MSNBC. "Whatever we have to do to get people in the system, let's do it."

3. on the one thread i was reading about this all of obama people were saying run
another race. hillary doesnt get it from the previous election that was already ruled non participating, but..... run a fair election then great.

everyone i heard feels bad there were assholes in michigan and florida that fucked it up for the voters.

i hope they do run another and the people get their vote counted.

and maybe the next time people wont break rules and expect to get their way. lesson learned.

4. Either seat 'em or do-over, those are the only options. Disenfranchisement is not the process.
It simply isn't the process.

the options are......

re run.... or they dont get the vote and be pissed off at those responsible and dont re elect them.

you dont have an unfair election and say it stands.

we have fought that over and over last handful of years, now you blatantly and in face promote that option. no way.

7. I'm more amused by the "she wants to disenfranchise candidates" arguments!
I mean seriously, people are upset they didn't get to *campaign* in those states, and consider it more important than people voting!

9. No
"I mean seriously, people are upset they didn't get to *campaign* in those states, and consider it more important than people voting!"

NUmber one, most people care that the votes were declared unofficial beforehand, therefore making them invalid. And again, Obama wasn't even on the MI ticket.

More importantly, without the campaigning you so snidely brush off the vote becomes a name recognition contest. Is that the right way to select a candidate?

I read that candidates chose to have their names removed from the Michigan ballot.
It was Obamas choice.
I say re-vote.

12. What makes you think it's HER decision?
The two states in violation of the rules must decide.

NOT the Clinton campaign.
