New Poll: O: 52%- Mac: 40%, C: 50%-Mac 44%
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 10:43 PM by woolldog
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain trails Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in hypothetical matchups, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll released on Wednesday.

Illinois Sen. Obama leads McCain by 12 percentage points -- 52 percent to 40 percent; New York Sen. Clinton leads McCain by 6 points -- 50 percent to 44 percent, the poll found.

A good sign no matter which Dem you support...

5. As much as I like seeing numbers like that...
These national polls are completely worthless since they don't break it down by the electoral college. Huge margins in the big blue states like NY don't do us any good in the general election.

13. bingo
it's all about the states you can carry, not about the overall lead.

these numbers are the most very basic glimpse into the national psyche. you really need to look state by state to see who can win.

16. Exactly what is "asundry"?
No matter - being as there are NO scandals in McCain's past (or present), it won't matter anyway, right?

18. Thanks for the info - I didn't know that ...
... of course, I'm a native of NYC, where our command of the English language is questionable at best.

I only lived in 'the south' (?) for one year of my life, and that was in Nashville, Tenn - where I learned that the stuff you heat your house with is 'all', not 'earl'!
