Obama's super delegates
I hope this is true

"Obama will gain the support of 50 undecided Democratic superdelegates."

“She (Sen. Clinton) will not make up those numbers,” Clay said. “This race is over.”

1. Where are they? If it is true, it is irresponsible of them to hold back.

6. I don't think it is true that she can't make up for it (even though I don't even think it's true)
But I have also heard rumors she has 60+ in the can waiting to announce.
I think these are all rumors..... put up or shut up.

7. Not at all
The goal would be to get us a candidate. I suspect they wanted to let Hillary have her firewall and when they saw that she hadn't improved her delegate situation, decided to go ahead and do this. Doing it the day after the election when votes are still being counted would be too soon.

11. Where are they?
Waiting out the MSM fawning over Hillary's "Big!" 4 delegate "Wins!" last night.

When the corporate MSM Hillary adoration society runs out of steam they will be announced.

14. I would think they'd come out now to shut the MSM's "fawning" down.
It will only show that they are trying to steal the race to wait...

5. Very interesting
Especially seeing how this is still being floated after yesterday's primaries. I suspect that the delegate margin from yesterday is enough to convince this block that Obama is the only viable candidate and the Hillary attacks are only hurting the Democrats in the Fall. 50 supers won't seal the deal, but it will go a long way toward it.

"It's Wrong"
A spokesman for Barack Obama told On Call that Tom Brokaw's earlier report, that there are 50 superdelegates ready and willing to announce their support for the IL senator, is incorrect.

The spokesman wrote flatly in an e-mail: "It's wrong."

The very wonderful Brokaw is doing play-by-play tonight for MSNBC

18. I'd like to see that 150 delegate lead Hillary started with halved.
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 11:52 PM by cottonseed
Now that would add a little fairness to the process. If the delegate bomb did go through, Hillary would still be making out much better than she deserves.
