Anyone else have pub Senators in Trouble....?
This morning Thom Hartman was talking about Gordon Smiths 5% net approval rating compared against Ron Wyden's 32% net approval rating here in Oregon.

Gordon Smith has a 48% positive rating vs 43% negative rating making him one Pub we could knock out this year. He had a small spike in Dec 06 when he "came out against the war".

I didn't catch what company they were saying had done the stats or where they can be found online?

Go Dems..

2. I seriously believe
Trent Lotts seat could go (D) in November. Former (D) governor is running for the post and it will be at least a close and competitive race. Hopefully bush and mccain will keep doing anti-american dumbass republican stuff and put Ronnie Musgrove over the top.

4. Sen. WideStance is out, but the repub running for his seat is worse
You might remember him as the one who suggested Idahoans wouldn't just sit around on the curb waiting for a handout if we were flooded (in reference to Katrina).

Lots more GOP than Dems up for reelection. Actually, I guess Warner is retiring, but in any case, these are the seats up for election this fall. Someone on DU told me Coleman (who squeaked in due to Wellstone's death) will lose to Franken in MN, so I hope that's true.

9. John Cornyn..
Mr. "Border Fence-Send All 12 Million Illegals Back" is running against Hispanic - Afghanistan War Vet- State Senator Rick Noriega. Not only that he has tied himself to the hit to George Bush and as recently as a few months ago expressed his support and was seen together with Bush at a fund-raiser. And recently I saw his approval rate was way down.
