BO opens office in Jackson, WY, new voter registration goes up: |
|
From BO's website
… Sharon Nethercott, elections supervisor for Teton County, said her office was very busy this week, after the Barack Obama campaign opened an office in Jackson. “I’d estimate we’ve registered 250-to-300 new voters this week.”

3. That kind of excitement could deliver Wyoming's congressional seat to the democrats |
|
Gary Trauner almost won that seat in 2006, but Barbara Cubin pulled it out by less than a thousand votes. A democratic pickup would be a sure thing if Cubin were running again, but she's retiring. Still, the repubs will have a contested primary through August, while Trauner is the presumptive Dem nominee, and given that excitement among Dems is up all over while excitement among repubs is down, I think Wyoming has a great chance to send a democrat to the U.S. House for the first time since the late seventies.
