New Clinton talking point: Obama = Ken Star
Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson, taking the campaign a bit meta on a conference call today, attacked Obama for attacking Clinton, and compared him to a notorious Clinton foe.

"When Senator Obama was confronted with questions over whether he was ready to be Commander-in-Chief and steward of the economy, he chose not to address those questions, but to attack Senator Clinton," Wolfson said. "I for one do not believe that imitating Ken Starr is the way to win a Democratic primary election for president."

Wolfson was attacking Obama's explicit strategy, in the wake of his March 4 losses, to attack elements of Clinton's record on the grounds of secrecy, and to revisit the questions raised by Clinton foes in the 1990s and earlier. Obama has demanded Clinton's tax returns, cited delays in releasing her White House schedules, and even made reference to trades in cattle futures in the late 1970s that became a subject of allegations during the White House years.

Wolfson also responded to the substance of Obama's complaint, that Clinton hasn't released her recent tax returns, and to the reminder today that Clinton (via Wolfson) attacked her 2000 Senate rival, Rick Lazio, for failing to release his tax returns....

I guess Clinton decided to circle around to jump the shark a second time.

4. Clintons know Ken Starr was using Whitewater to coverup GHWBush and Jackson Stephens
many BCCI dealings at Rose Law Firm.

Ken Starr WOULD go after penny ante shit like Rezko only as cover to distract the public from BushInc's illegal maneuverings.

Would Obama go along with the ruse to protect BushInc the way Clintons did?

5. I'd go further and say Obama should bring up Whitewater and
wonder out loud why the Clintons are taking that route, pointing out that Clinton is now using the same strategy that plagued her during the 1990s. He should frame it as old politics vs. new politics.

8. empty Rhetoric "Wolfson"- Asking someone to be accountable isn't Starr
tactics-

It is the right of the American people to know the facts about their potential leaders- Denying and evading is a gw Bush tactic. Sure you want to go there?

peace~

10. Gotta admit, Wolfson does his job quite well as Hillary's henchman. How did we get to this! . . .
(insert scream)

Unfortunately, if Obama does start to fight back, he's playing on Hillary's turf. She'll eat him alive. That's been her strategy all along, so when Obama does win on delagates, he's toast for the GE.

Hillary has no shame, none whatsoever. She makes Lieberman look like a loyal Democrat.

GObama!

We rallied towards the Clintons during that time because he was our president. Doesn't mean we liked it. He's not doing himself a service bringing all this back up.

What he should be talking about is whether or not they'll be keeping Dean and his brilliant 50 state strategy on or replace him with a hack like Harold Ford. I'd like to hear how they plan on thwarting a 2nd wave of the republican revolution only 2 years after we retook Congress. I think there are a number of national and state representatives along with a number of newly elected governors who would be eager to hear the same thing.
