while Obama is picking them up.
If this goes to the Convention, Obama will win. Super Delegates will not go back to her.

I don't like when they call us stupid.
I do agree that the SDs will back Obama.
President Barack Obama. It's happening before our eyes.

5. I think that makes #5 of the 50 (per Tom Brokaw, but as high as 75 from other sources) |
|
the drip drip drip will turn to a pour in the next week or so.

9. Where did you hear 75? |
|
I'm intrigued.
Grantcart had a quote from the Obama campaign that said Brokaw's statement wasn't true.
I do get excited for each superdelegate.

15. there is a ton of backroom deal making happening |
|
I dont want to say "I know a guy", but I met and worked with a press coordinator from Obama for America during the run up to Super Tuesday here in Savannah..... Through a few emails the story comes out that Hillary's campaign has been begging and pleading some supers that she cannot woo with treats and promises to hold off on going public before the convention because "something" might happen to Obama that would make him undesireable. Bill Richardson has also said that he believes whomever holds the delegate lead after this past Tuesday should be the nominee. Several of the Democratic party 'big players' are about to go to Obama in the hopes of keeping the primary season from going into the late summer. Bill and these other "party people" are the 50-75 that are floating around out there. Hillary is also begging these players to hold off and give her more time. She had been begging for them to let her get to Ohio and Texas, but now she is begging for Pennsylvania. The backroom fighting now is between going public now and waiting till after Pennsylvania. Those in favor of pushing Hillary to step aside have noted that even after a huge victory in Pennsylvania, she still will not be able to make a large enough gain in delegates to go on.

*******~~~~SMOOCH!!!!!~~~~********
I love hearing that. This was my sense all along. The SDs have to make a choice and they have to bring this to a close sooner rather than later.
Obama needs to close the deal on Sat. and Tues.
Those six weeks after are going to be a long, hard look in the mirror for Hillary and her team. Time's up in my opinion.

3. excellent. thanks for the news, debi |

Is this one or two today? In any case, he's making steady progress closing the gap. Hill's now only about 40 SDs ahead. Can't wait til he erases the gap completely and pulls ahead in SDs as well as being ahead by every other measure.

It showed both. Edwards has no superdelegates, right? He had 26 pledged delegates when he left the race. According to that site he now has 25.

My guess is that they want to pour it on slowly so that Clinton will have a harder time trying to explain 50 supers going to Obama.
We want this to end but must be smart about it. Keep up the work exposing Clinton!
