CNN: National poll of likely Democratic primary voters' choice for nominee: Obama 50% HRC 40%
Tired of seeing all this non-sence around here about how HRC would win over Obama going up against McCain.

We all knew going into this that half this country said they wouldn't vote for her. Face the facts damn it!!!

1. Likely Voters---Upscale voters just as in GOP Likely Voters.
Upscale voters in Dem Party prefer Obama. These poll results are
to be expected.

MiddleClassWorking Class voters overwhemingly support HRC.

9. I've yet to hear one of 'em explain how they expect to win a GE with Hill's
group of niche voters from states that count. Their delusion is stunning.

3. Although I don't think she deserves all her 'negatives' the fact remains that
she carries heavy baggage. Two cases in my own family - I have two brothers-in-law who are die-hard repukes and favor Obama this time around. Yet both reflexively and irrationally say they would NEVER vote for Hillary. They can't give any rationale. One has to remember that the repukes have used her name to fundraise for the last decade so their hatred of her is almost Pavlovian.

7. She has always had extremely high negatives. You can look at a poll a year age or two weeks ago.
Edited on Thu Mar-06-08 02:22 PM by IsItJustMe
She has done absolute nothing to change that, and in fact, has done quit a few things, as of late to reinforce those negatives.

She can tear down Obama all she wants, that says nothing positive about her, and it never will.

I dare say you will be able to take a poll one year from now, and she will still have very high negatives.

Why? Look at the way she is running her campaign.

11. Obama Is Catching Up To Her In The Negative Department
The general election is essentially even at this point. McCain now leads Obama 46% to 44% and Clinton 46% to 45% (see recent daily results). Nationally, McCain is viewed favorably by 52% and unfavorably by 45%. Obama is now viewed favorably by 51% of likely voters nationwide, unfavorably by 46%. Clinton earns positive reviews from 49% of Likely Voters nationwide and negative assessments from 50% (see recent daily results). Watch Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour discuss possible Vice-Presidential options for John McCain.See Video Barbour says the Republican Party is already united behind McCain.

5. You missed the fine print:
Edited on Thu Mar-06-08 02:05 PM by wlucinda
CNN's Democratic national poll of polls consists of three surveys: AP-IPSOS (Feb. 22-24), USA Today/Gallup (Feb. 21-24), and CBS/NYTimes (Feb 20-24). The GOP poll of polls consists of: USA Today/Gallup (Feb. 8-10), AP-IPSOS (Feb. 7-10), and Newsweek (Feb. 6-7).

This is March 6th. The poll data is old. Don't know why they would be using it. It's misleading.

8. Gee, CNN has become the worse in negative reporting and in
the latest report on how the msm reports about the candidates, obama received 83% favorable reporting from the msm. This is something we hrc supporters have always known, and CNN is the worse of the lot. You take 3 hours of wolf and the situation room then you have 3 hours of positives for obama and 3 hours of negatives for hrc....

I suspect during the day fox news has more balanced reporting about the candidates but when it is prime time of course it is always anti democrats....

10. CNN has championed Clinton as inevitable for two years now
I could see that long before I supported Kucinich then Edwards, who got no press because CNN was busy falling over itself to cover everytime Hillary farted.
