What will you do if Kerry picks Nader for VP |
|
Will you vote for a unity ticket?
Whatever support he loses from the ultra-right wing DLC faction of the party, he would gain ten-fold in independents and liberals who love Nader. (yes, I completely ripped off Ringmastery's McCain thread, but I figured Ralphie and Johnny Mac get an equal amount of bitching around here, so I was just curious how uniting the Left would do as opposed to uniting the Right)

Well on a positive point it would seem like he wouldn't be able to lose, Since the majority of the country is essentially liberal or left leaning to the point where they're in Nadar's corner, at the same time Nadar's just a bit too much to the left for my tastes, and I don't see how him and Kerry would get along given what appears to be many differences. But who knows maybe they could come to a compromise that could possibly unite us free enterprise types with the hardcore anti-corporate types.
Hey I'd be celebrating if that happened.

6. Vote for it. But the far left does not equal moderates in number |
|
Nader is superior to McCain, since although he is also a hypocrite and a politician, he at least has said the right thing most of the time.

watching the spin meisters turn Nader from a goat to a hero.
Kerry better announce a running mate quickly, or come out and shootdown all of the VP trial balloons that are being put out by "unnamed" Democrats.

My problem with Nader is that he wants to split the liberal segment of America thus helping Republicans, if he was working with the Democratic Party I wouldn't have an issue. It's not gonna happen, but I would vote for it.

Wait until you see the one they come up with. Another gutless sellout is a likely guess, given the DLC/DNC pattern so far.

36. If he wants to go left pick Kucinich, go looney, pick Nader... |
|
I don't like either choice, but Ralph Nader would be a dictator the likes you would not want to see. He would be a truly horrible president. Not only that, he has frequent delusions of grandeur and bouts of meglomania. Are those really the qualities you want in a president?
If it must be a far left progressive, then Kucinich is a much better and more consistent choice.
I should mention that Nader is only progressive on some issues. On race, gender, and many civil rights issues, he has little to say. Any wonder why so few black voters supported him?
