Poll question: Hillary Clinton should concede: |
|
Edited on Thu Mar-06-08 05:30 PM by FlyingSquirrel
Let's see just how polarized DU is these days. I'm envisioning an upside-down bell curve.
For the record, most estimates show that the only way for her to get even close to Obama in pledged delegates would be for MI and FL to be seated as-is, and for her to take the remaining states by wider margins than expected.

1. When Huckabee was doing the "miracles not math" thing he didn't shit all over McCain |
|
If Hillary was able to her "miracles not math" thing without shitting all over Obama (or trying to make McCain look better than Obama) and the people who support him, I wouldn't care whether she dropped out or not.
I don't know whether that is possible for her though.

3. Did you hear how many of the Rezko defendants are Clinton donors? |
|
Perhaps making an issue of Tony Rezko was not such a good thing.
Oh, and Obama's name never came up in the opening statements. Psst...It's not about him.

I don't like the idea that she's going to try to get MI/FL counted for her.

Now if you factor in relative numbers of supporters for each camp, and their zeal, you've pretty much nailed it.

that the MSM will just eat up, and the TV audience will find so repulsive that they will vote for McCain in November.

29. why is it bad for the party for people in PA to be able to vote exactly? |
|
or for Obama to run against someone? He's not made of glass, he's not gonna break. and if he can't withstand little 'ol hillary then he certainly cannot stand up against the republicans or leaders like Ahmadinejad

they can't handle it.
the day obama has actually earned one more delegate than needed to get the nomination, is the day hillary should concede. not a second before. IF that happens.
years ago, when i first got my computer i checked out the yahoo message boards.
i was amazed by the overwhelming number of rabidly vicious posts against just about everyone and everything that even slightly smelled of "liberal" or "progressive". i left and never went back.
the same ilk have now monopolized du.
the democratic party is practically irrelevant in the conversation. it is all hillary hate.
there are some obama haters who rise to the bait, and fight fire with fire, but nowhere near matching the numbers of hillary haters.
we should look at it like this.
if the contest lasts all the way to the convention, the tv audience will be huge.
we can make sure all our best speakers are trotted out to do their best. (sharpton's speech at the last (?) convention was absolutely awesome.)
we can show how we all CAN get along, showcase the actual proposals that we have that will benefit america, AND pick one of the two best of the party. (you never know, the both may make it on the ticket...)
it could be edge of the seat entertainment.
we then unite behind which ever is chosen, and kick republican ass in november. it should be an easy task.
THEN, after the election, we make sure to speak loud enough to our leaders so that they understand we MUST clean house and address the atrocities that have been done in our name.
but most of the hacks here now, spewing their hate towards BOTH candidates don't want that.
i honestly don't even believe they are democrats. they are here for a purpose, and doing it quite well. i think part of the agenda is to purposely create such a sense of entitlement that if one candidate, or the other, doesn't get the nomination, their supporters will stay home.
they are here to help DEFEAT the democrats, come november.
so, stay in hillary.
and i would say the exact same thing to obama.

but watching the corrupt Clintons and DLC humiliate themselves into utter oblivion will be the silver lining of this firestorm. Clintons, Bushes, DLC, neocons - they're one and the same cabal that's ripped the constitution to threads, and sold our economy to the highest bidders (donors). time for them all to be cast to the dustbins of history... if not the Hague.

who kept on and on when everything points to there being no way in hell to secure the nomination, I'd want him out too. To continuation this divisive fight to the convention is going to rip the party apart for decades. An example is 1968 and also 1972.

40. She just LOST delagates.. |
|
with her "big victories" the other night.
She will lose Wyoming and MI for sure. Obama will break relatively even at WORST in every other state besides PA. Even if she landslides PA, she can't possibly make up the difference.
Its over, even with re-votes. Especially considering MI may be a caucus and even if its not Obama may win it anyway. Or are you actually taking the MI results seriously when he wasn't even on the ballot?
She has to carry an huge margin of victory in every state to be close - a margin she has only managed in ONE state - Arkansas.
Its over.
