Oh No, Hillary, Don't Throw Me Into The Briar Patch (aka, a re-vote in Florida and Michigan) |
|
Because is the Clinton campaign is stupid enough to want to re-do those states, then they deserve the results from them.
And the results will be - she might eek out small wins in those states, but even in losing, Obama will gain enough delegates to put him clearly over the 2025 number - and in the process, secure the nomination outright.
He probably can't do it just with the pledged delegates the way they are, unless all the supers toss his way. But if the supers split, and he gains 40% of the delegates from Michigan and Florida, he'll have enough to get past the 2025 mark.
He should actually be out in front calling for a re-vote. It would help him more than it would help her.
I mean, she needs it, because she needs all the delegates she can get. But he just needs delegates, even if they're less than her, because he's closer to the nomination than she is.
Those Florida and Michigan delegates will do the trick.
So if Clinton wants a re-do in those states, I say BRING IT ON.
So please, Senator Clinton, don't throw me into the briar patch.

1. While I agree it doesn't benefit her. |
|
The 2025 doesn't count MI & FL. The number jumps when when they're included.

I think 2025 was set before this happened.

2. It's such a loser move |
|
The Clinton team is behind on points so they want to change the rules.
I don't suffer Cheaters very well and that is exactly what they're up to.
They are losers in every sense of the word.

12. even so, with a worse-case scenario, he'd still be closer to the nomination |
|
If he lost both states in a re-vote 55-45 (which is being generous to Clinton)
In Florida Clinton would have 115 Obama would have 95
In Michigan Clinton would have 85 Obama would have 71
That would be 200 delegates for Clinton and 156 for Obama.
Giving her a current total of 1624 and him 1676.
He would still be winning by 50. And that's not taking into account the fact that he'd probably win Michigan.

5. Clinton doesn't want a re-do |
|
she just wants to seat our delegates based on the January primary. Obama supporters here are in favor of a new vote. Our Governor, a Clinton endorser, has now moved toward a new vote so that somebody from Michigan will be present at the convention.

I did vote for Obama in Florida. Throw out the votes.
Hillary was my Senator and I voted for her twice before. I don't like what both she and this state is doing.

9. Marxist election strategy |

Sen. Clinton wants to seat those delegates who voted for her when she was the only candidate. I can't believe she even has the stones to suggest that?

I think anything is possible with her.
I also think she'd have no problem getting republican crossover votes, even if they were votes from people who only voted for her because they want to see the party in chaos over the next few weeks.

6. Obama is screwed either way ... |
|
if he fights a revote ... those states rebel against him ...
If he asks for a revote, we all know he will want a caucus where the original was a primary which is "changing the rules" - the very thing he has been squawking about not being allowed to do.
He looks like a total lightweight compared to Hillary on the political stage ... she out maneuvers him at every turn.

10. That is your opinion. |

If she is so good at maneuvering - you are ignoring the facts. When Obama started Hillary was winning everywhere by 20+ points. She is fighting for survival. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm pulling for BO to get the nomination so I can watch MC crush him in the GE. With the help of the MSM and the GOP whisper machine of course. They build him up -- they tear him down.
He played the race card on the Clintons, the very people that have done more for blacks than any other white people in generations. And his race baiting was enough for the blacks, coast to coast, to turn on them. He should be ashamed and so should black america.
FWIW -- I've been a hard core dem for nearly 50 years.
