How about a Kerry/Hank Hill ticket?
Hank Hill is a solid family man, a hard worker and a football hero. Being a real Texan (unlike *) he should get us the Nascar Dads. Plus we already know he doesn't like *.

1. Why not.
Since the John Kerry being promoted on this site ("solid liberal") is a fictional character, Hank Hill would be the perfect running mate for him

2. Hank's not a real Texan, though
He was born in New York while his father was there trying to assasinate Castro. And he just didn't like W.'s handshake. That says nothing about his politics.

Yet, I'd vote for him.

3. Never heard of him...
And the VP nominee needs to bring in a state (or a demographic). Bush ain't losing Texas (or if he does, he's lost 45-50 states and it doesn't matter) and the "NASCAR Dad" vote isn't going our way either.

5. Good man for DoE perhaps....
...given his familiarity with clean-burning propane, the fuel of the future.

...even Dale ("Guns don't kill people, the government kills people") Gribble would be an improvement.

I would put him in at CIA or NSA.
