I've never been asked to participate in a poll before. The caller stated that his organization was polling on behalf of a "onservative organization". The questions were very slanted and only allowed yes/no answers. The questions were: 1. Do you plan to vote in the presidential election? 2. If the election were held today and you had to choose between John F. Kerry or George W. Bush, who would you vote for John F. Kerry? 3. Would you prefer to pay lower taxes and to have your taxes cut over the next for years? 4. Do you support our country's efforts in Iraq? 5. Are you pro-life? 6. Are you a republican? 7. Have you ever contributed to a political or charitable organization?

Questions 3, 4 and 5 aren't leading in any way, are they? Nah!
Interesting how they juxtaposed the "pro life" and "Iraq" Questions--yeah, I'm pro-life as long as it's unborn 'murican fetuses...but kill all them Ay-rabs!
I actually was called for the nationwide Zogby poll over the weekend. First time I've ever been polled too.

4. I just got a recorded call from Scott Walker |
|
He's running for county supervisor in Milwaukee. Got some rambling message from him.
Too bad he's a Repug and I'm voting for his opponent tomorrow.
BTW: The call was from Augusta, GA. I did an area code lookup from my caller ID.

7. I got one of those for a Repug sherriff candidate.... |
|
urging me to vote in the upcoming run-off.
Yeah, dipshit. I've been in this podunk town a little over a year, immediately joined the County Democrats, led a Howard Dean meetup, scream my affiliation on my bumper, and annoy freepers every chance I get. I don't think I could be much more vocal, and how the hell did I get on your list?
Kindly bite me.

13. The election's non-partisan and Walker's actually pretty popular |
|
even though he wants to close parks and cut services and pretty much starve the county. He'll probably win. (His opponent is a standard quiet nice-guy moderate without a whole lot of energy or vision. But he's still leagues from Walker.)

5. Talk about a push poll |
|
You should have told them you were pro-DEATH and that's why you would vote for bush, since he loves KILLING so many people. And yeah, you'd like to pass MORE debt on tho your kids, so you favor lower taxes.

6. Wonder what outfit it was |
|
On Friday, a regular caller to Lynn Cullen's radio show (liberal talk radio in Pittsburgh!) said she had just been polled, and they were the exact same questions you listed. The caller was appalled by how biased the questions were, and she really gave the pollster an earful about it.

9. You may not have been polled. |

If you had answered differently, you might have been hit up for a contribution.

Before Kerry had nailed the Dem spot and I told the caller that I would vote for anyone but Bush. She chuckled.
