Does Kerry have a joke writer?

It's S.O.P. for all Presidents - they'd never get through some speeches and especially the annual Press Dinner without them.

I think he could definitely benefit from showing another side of himself, even if it is someone else writing the joke.

Kerry is a great guy and a great candidate, but his jokes are horrifically corny.

2. you have to be careful telling jokes on the campaign trail

Remember Gore's joke about "Look for the Union Label" being his lullaby? The right wing press was all over that even though anyone who saw the tape knews full well it was a JOKE.

Right wingers are stupid people whose humor is limited to pies in the face. Verbal humor flies right over their empty dittoheads, and the right wing hate press will treat any joke at all like it was part of a candidate's platform.

3. Kerry has made some good jokes in the past and present

today I heard him joke about Bush relaxing and being a bum while he's on vacation in crawford... oh and sounds like what he does in DC too.

I also liked his kinda provocative joke about Bush kicking your ass and telling you there is no promise land.
