The Stickiness of FL and MI.
I trust that a solution will be found in regards to the seating of their delegates. When they do, the numbers will change.

The new number to secure the nomination would become 2208.

They will NOT seat the delegate's as is. Howard Dean has made that clear.

They will either hold a new vote, most likely a caucus-in-name-only. It will be a caucus, as a Primary is much more expensive, and not legally allowed. It would not be a true caucus with speeches, persuasion, re-votes and corners. It would be a go in and cast one vote.

Or they will divide the delegates proportionally or evenly.

With a new "Magic Number" the game doesn't change that much. Let's say they re-vote. IF Hillary won both contests, which she could, and IF she won by 60% to 40%, which I doubt she could, she would pick up 220 delegates to Obama's 147.

The new count would look like this:

Obama- 1710

Hillary- 1644

With 611 Pledged Delegates left, and 275 Super delegates not endorsed. With the new number to win being 2208, that would leave:

Obama needing-- 498

Hillary needing-- 564

The only change FL and MI could bring is a perceptive one. Two wins in June, if the re-vote were to be held then, would be the last two wins of the Primary. Also, it is possible that the popular vote could be nearly even or slightly in Hillary's favor. IF all of that happens, the Convention could be very interesting.

2. I agree 100%. I hope that is how it ends. The rules were agreed to,
they need to be held to.

3. So you are saying MI and FL voter opinions don't matter?
I wonder if their opinions in the GE in November don't matter to you also?

5. The voters were screwed, and it sucks that it happened that way.
The bed was made, now we must lay in it. What happens in November will happen. MI will still go Dem. FL is always a toss-up. I'd like to pick it up, but it isn't required for a WH win.

9. You are right, it's not. And NC won't go Dem in the GE, I am sure of that.
But, NC didn't break and rules by moving their Primary up.

8. McCain wins FL anyway, so MI is the only one in doubt
and if MI thinks that a republican best suits them, they will choose him anyway..

4. "They don't count" Great. Wonderful. Maybe the MI and FL votes won't count in November.

10. tekisui you haven't been keeping an eye on what's been going on behind the scenes
In florida and michigan. To say these states will go blue in november I can't believe. The way the politicians of the states are pushing for a re-vote and Obama is opposing it, I can't say they will go blue.

15. You obviously fail to see the implications of disenfranchised votes...
...in these states. Open your eyes.
