Any guess on where students and others who supported Ron Paul will shift their support?
I saw some Ron Paul signs still hanging around Sarasota today and wondered where those poor people will go now.

3. Probably Nader...
...my sense is that they are the Anti-DemoRepublican fringe of American Society.

16. Maybe the majority of them are Anti-DR, but I think not
Some will go to Nader, a huge chunk will go to the Libertarian candidate, and a huge chunk will go to the Dem candidate if it's Obama. A slight minority will go to McCain for various reasons, but if Obama is the Dem nominee, I think McCain will lose that vote.

20. Either way, it won't be a bump for either Obama or McCain...
I didn't even realize Paul was still running. What will he give, like .5 percent?

...has switched to Nader. He voted for Nader before, as well.

He said, "It's the only choice a responsible anarchist has."
I said, "A 'responsible anarchist' is an oxymoron."

Haven't heard much from him since. :D

22. Anarchist. Voting.
I think somebody's not so clear on the concept.

Then again, if he was voting for a border-believing, racist, lasseiz faire capitalist like Ron Paul, he's DEFINITELY not clear on the concept.

24. I brought up the racist thing.
He insisted that was "an outright lie perpetrated by his enemies."

I also think there's more than one concept he's not completely clear on.

He said he liked Obama, but is "very iffy with Obama's profile, particularly his membership in the _CFR,_ adamant support of Israel, NAFTA, and employer responsibility for citizenship verfication."

Did I mention that he brings up Masonic/Illuminati/New World Order plots rather regularly?

You just can't make everyone happy, ya know?

11. In the GE either McCain or Obama, depending on how McCain presents himself.
Definitely not Clinton.

Ron Paul supporters seem pissed as hell at how washington has been running things, and not just for the last 8 years but rather for decades.

If McCain is able to run as a "maveric" within the party and appeal to the libertarian wing, he'll get them. If he runs as Mr, 100 years of warfare, he'll scare them off.

Obama's actions will also matter to them, but maybe not as much as McCain's. If he runs promoting peace as part of a responsible foreign policy, they'll warm to him. If he turns this into a referendum on health care, he will not attract them.

Hillary has no chance with them, as they would view her and her legacy (i.e. Bill's presidency) as part of the problem, not part of the solution.

21. Ron Paul is the only one with campaign headquarters
in the town where I work. I've only seen Paul signs in town. My guess is they will stay up in the hope he'll opt to run as a Libertarian.
