The Bill Foster Election: More Proof That Obama MUST Be The Nominee |
|
How many people here genuinely think Bill Foster would have won Denny Hastert's seat if Hillary Clinton did an ad for him in the closing days of the election like Barack Obama did?
That's one takeaway here in IL, and there's another potential takeaway: Dan Seals, who had a respectable run against Republican Mark Kirk, will do it again in November. I guaran-damn-TEE you, that if Barack Obama is at the top of that ballot, Dan Seals wins ... but if Hillary Clinton is at the top of the ticket, Dan Seals loses.
If you want coattails, you will do your damndest to put Obama at the top of the ticket. Bill Foster proves it.

It can't be that hastert was a corrupt official, who enabled, lead and participated in one of the most corrupt Houses in US History
Maybe you can tell us how we won in 06 because of Obama

because of anti war sentiment and Dean's 50m state strategy...

7. You confuse me with an HRC supporter |
|
I was and am an Edwards supporter.
I don't support either candidate because I find them weak on some issues I support.
To take the position hat the only reason that Foster won is because of Obama is typical.
It can't be because Foster was a great candidate or the the people of the district saw what a corrupt party the republikkans are and how they were lead by the King of Corruption So they voted accordingly
It has to be because of Obama (who is the Jr Senator of my state)

11. No one says it's all Obama. No one says we lost both houses of congress in '94 was solely Clinton. |
|
Who has said the only reason Foster won is Obama? I think Obama's candidacy did help Foster. But it wasn't the only reason.

13. Edgewater_Joe seems to be saying that |
|
At least that's what I take from his post.
I do need think it helped.
But, I'd like to see more emphasis placed on Foster and his campaign than a short spin on how this is "PROOF" that Obama will automatically mean we pick up 60 house seats and 20 senate seats.
one note: I said I don't support either... I did mean in the primaries. I will vote for either in the GE
I'm hoping it's Obama
I've only ever had two reservations about Sen Obama: 1. He seemed soft and needed to prove he could take the hits and respond in kind. I think he's learned that over the last month and he seems to be running a tougher campaign. -- I am pleased with this.
2. That should he get elected that means the Governor of Chicago...I mean Illinois... Blago (Rod Blagojevic) will get to pick his replacement. Blago is the WORST Democratic governor in the country. I'd hate to see whom he'd pick.

8. And I realize we won because of the 50 state strategy and because of republikkan corruption |
|
This fixation that the reason why Foster won was because of Obama diminishes Foster and the effective campaign he ran.
Foster won BECAUSE Foster ran a GREAT campaign
Obama helped his campaign but Foster did not win because of Obama
Again... Foster won because of Foster

14. the point you are making |
|
Is there's a race in November, in a district with a like 35% Republicans 35% Democrats and 30% independents, would you want Hillary Clinton running an ad for you or Barack Obama running an ad for you?
I think the answer is clear.
