I support Obama: this race ain't over! And it shouldn't be.

My fellow Obama supporters: quit your fucking whining. Clinton wants to fight it out. She wants to see if the delegates (super and otherwise) REALLY desire Obama as a candidate. She wants to see just how tough he is. And it's understandable. Jesus, you don't think she and Bill know how absolutely ruthless Washington can be? She wants to see if Obama will wilt. Why? Because she's pure evil? No. The Clintons believe--no, they know--that you gots to be able to take a beating and then dish out it right back with even more force in order to survive. They see this as the NUMBER ONE trait in a democratic candidate. And, quite honestly, so do many, many dems. (present party included).

The ONLY thing I LOVE about the Clintons is their political bare-knuckled, fuck-it-all-with-no-regrets politicking. It's how they survived the 90s. And we, yes WE, all cheered them on. They fucked Bob Livingston 7-ways 'til Sunday. And I loved it. They weren't liberal enough for me; to me they opened the floodgates to our modern corporatocracy: see, dems. are supposed to protect us against the corporate interests--not sell us out. But I digress.

So, I must say, I have NO problem with what Clinton is doing now. Did we really expect any different? I mean, come on. If Obama didn't see this shit coming a mile away, then I'm not too sure he'll survive (by the way, I think he saw it coming a mile away). When Edwards was talking about power-structures in Washington, I have no doubt he had the Clintons in mind; i.e., you don't ask them to relinquish power, you must take it from them. I EXPECT Obama to do the same. If he can't fight back and win (hell, if he can't win with a majority of delegates), then I'm sorry, he just isn't up to the task of being president. He's obviously qualified in terms of smarts, policy, etc.; he would simply demonstrate that he's not ready in terms of RAW POLITICS--you know, Richard Scaiffe-funded RAW POLITICS. So if Clinton is playing a bit rough, well, boo-hoo, go cry me a fucking river, Obama supporters. If he's the real deal, he'll have ice water running through his veins. Shit, if he can't get dems. to support him after he's won all of these primaries, then HE has a bit of a problem.

All this said, I don't think Obama is fazed by any of this shit. To be perfectly honest, I want to see him go off on Clinton. She's the perfect guinea-pig; she now has high negatives amongst dems, and people see her as deserving any shit thrown her way. He just has to be careful; the Clintons are the masters (and I mean this as a compliment)

Now if we're making the argument about the good of democratic party, then Clinton needs to bow out. She's mathematically toast. She essentially wants to drag Obama into the mud, kick the shit out him, beat in Pennsylvania, wound him badly, smile that fucking pasted on-joker-like-Laura-Bush-smile and get the nomination. And, guess what--she'll win by doing this. But guess what: she believes she's more qualified than Obama, and she believes this is the way one proves it. And you know what, so do I. This ain't Ronnie Reagan land: we WILL speak ill of fellow dems (though I think Hart is spot-on in the line he has drawn). I want a democratic nominee who believes he or she is THE BEST, STRONGEST candidate. And if Clinton takes Obama down, then so be it.

So, I hope Obama wins. I hope he hands Cinton's ass to her. But if he gets his handed to him, well, then our toughest, strongest, candidate won. And that is our nominee.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: if Obama defeats the Clintons (yes, both/all of them), then he has beat the best politicians of my generation. The Quing is dead; long live the king. But if the Quing lives, then I shall kiss her ring and pull the lever for her.

That is all. Save us from ourselves, Pennsylvania.
