Is it any wonder Obama can unite so many people.... |
|
OMG!! NOW I understand....
I googled his name and Unitarian Universalist the other day just to see where my religion stood in this election. All these links popped up about his family and UU. Got my curiosity going about his childhood and stuff. So tonight, for the first time ever, I found myself going out and buying the autobiography of a politican. WHAT do I read in the first few chapters but that his grandfather looked into being a UUer back in the 60's!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the grandfather's "it's like 5 religions rolled into one". If there is anyone who can bring this country together and learn to respect other countries/religions/cultures it's someone who was raised/taught by that kind of family!
Imagine having someone in the WH who won't go by "my God is better than your God" mentality! Here's to ***8 years*** of "President Obama"!!!!!

Dreams From My Father is a wonderful book -- honest, thoughtful, introspective, and enlightening.
You can really see how all the diverse parts of Barack's background were brought together through the lens of his self searching and fused into the man he is today.
