Age will be a big factor in Obama's favor vs. McCain
Aside from the facts of their relative biological ages (McCain 71, Obama 46), there's no two ways about it - McCain looks old, Obama looks youthful.

Don't think for a minute this doesn't have an effect on the electorate:

As a historical data point:

The contrast between these two men's appearances in the first televised presidential debate made it a huge victory for Kennedy.

1. My mother is 80 years old and makes the very politically incorrect statement that
anyone who would choose that old white guy instead of that good looking young black man is crazy.

2. There is nothing wrong
with being politically incorrect, especially when she is right.

5. I have somewhat paraphrased her actual remarks. The original is rather
politically incorrect. She also makes a VERY non PC remark comparing Obama to Senator Clinton expressing a similar sentiment.

3. McCain is-
a 200 year old cyborg who poops robots and drinks the blood of young blond lobbyist to stay alive. It's been reported all over the intertubes.

6. Well, we are older than dirt.....
and there is no way we could ever identify with McCain and there is no way we would ever vote for the goon.

7. Forget The Age Difference - Obama Can Control His Anger,
is more articulate and doesn't support 100 year war. I don't think McCain stands a chance.

8. That's true but don't dismiss the very real fact that Obama's race will also be a very big factor.
We can't afford to ignore that.

10. Again the haters of the past run to it for a false comparison.
You think that old man is going to be a pushover? Think again.

14. I do believe that age is going to be a factor
and is one of Obama's few strengths against McCain. McCain has the experience card, and Obama has an uphill climb because right wingers will point out that he is black and falsely claim he is Muslim. I think the image of an old tired McCain against a young energetic Obama at the debates will be something Barack needs to play up... heavily.

16. uh huh and if it is obama v mccain and something breaks out
in the middle east or anywhere in the world for that matter which involves the united states then obama cannot match the mccain experience factor.....

you folks think it is going to be easy for obama to defeat mccain. It is not.....hrc would be able to match mccain on any foreign matter and even if something were to happen....HRC has the one big plus on her side and that is folks remember well the 8 years of peace and prosperity and wanna get back to that and with the economy tanking then folks will listen to hrc on this issue then obama.....

truthfully if you look at the candidates hrc is the ONE.....she is experiened and has the right aptitude for this position, whereas Obama only gave a speech in 02.....
