Super Delegates: Please end this nightmare NOW
Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 03:10 AM by DeadElephant_ORG
Folks, I hate to say it, but Hillary's scorched-earth strategy has pushed the clock. At our current rate of self-destruction, our party cannot afford to wait six weeks for Pennsylvania - within two weeks Hillary will have already destroyed either of our candidates' ability to compete with McCain. We're losing the general election RIGHT NOW.

Super Delegates exist to protect the party from suicide. The time has arrived for the Super Delegates to do their job. If they are unwilling to tolerate such statements as...

"I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience that he will bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

... then they must announce for Obama NOW, and put the Clinton campaign out of it's misery.

I want to vote in the primaries.

Senator Clinton is a W O M A N, oh the horror! The Shame! The Sobbing!

I had to deal with this nonsense when Jane Fernandez was president of Gallaudet University.

Senator Hillary Clinton, kick Senator Obama's butt!

We're against the arrogance, the conservatism,, the hawkishness and the sense of entitlement of her supporters.

And we're against those of her supporters who still think they can call themselves "progressive" after daring to argue, in this day and age, that we still can't nominate an African American for president.

6. this was written by someone on another board.
"Hillary has climbed over bodies (figuratively, of course. I think) to get where she is. He has stood by her husband, a serial adulterer. That was bad enough, although it is her choice. It speaks to her character, though. But she has also defended his actions. Inexcusable. I'm not talking about the adultery, either, but the lies. And the financial shenanigans. The chinese connection.

Hillary doesn't care for the people. I doubt she cares for Bill. She may care for Chelsea. But mainly she cares about Hillary. If I had to choose between them, I would probably choose Obama."

he's a conservative so he won't be choosing, although he is not happy with McCain.

whether it be pro or anti Hillary. It is still true that Hillary and McCain are far more experienced than the very junior senator from IL, it's silly to pretend that it is not factual.

60. No she didn't. To claim that all Obama has in the way of experience
is a 2002 speech is not the truth. It's a lie. And if you think SDs appreciate those comments, boosting McCain over someone who may very well be the dem nominee, think again. Hillary hasn't received a single SD comment since she made them. Obama has received 10. Expect that trend to continue. Claiming a lie as the truth doesn't make it so.

They don't want FL or MI seated. They don't want the rest of the states to vote.

They are NOT Democrats if this is how they feel. And god knows that their "feelings" are the most important thing to be considered.

Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 03:13 AM by JackORoses
That will only aid McCain.

The current situation will not change even if we wait for all the rest of the Primaries. Obama will maintain a pledged delegate lead.

So the Supers might as well make there decision now and allow the party to move on.

You are the ones who are afraid. Afraid that this is actually finished. Afraid that all your investment in Hillary will go unrepaid.

That is why we see the continued calls for a 'Dream Ticket'.
Hillary has reached the Negotiating stage of loss.

It is a false argument to base your debate on.

This isn't Ping Pong.

This is more like Chess. Hillary is down to just her King and a Pawn.
Sure she could knock all the pieces off the board and call it a victory, but that wouldn't make it true, now would it?

You admit this.

Do you support this?

And if you do not, then what is the point of wasting all the time and resources that an extended Primary battle will cost us?
You must realize it is not a benefit.

So it comes down to whether you approve of thwarting the will of the voters just to get your candidate in.
How about it?

58. I can think of many reasons
why the superdelegates should support Clinton.

IF she has the popular vote over Obama, I think they should vote for her. If she's better positioned to win in November, they should vote for her.

YOU want to thwart the will of the voters if you demand they vote for Obama if he doesn't have the popular vote.
