Even if Obama gets the nomination his 34 - 45% turnout in the primaries may not translate into a win in those states in November. He'll have a hard time picking up enough to carry them, even if Hillary's supporters swing over.

Tom Daschle is soooo ineffectual. He keeps repeating on MTP how many states BO has won even though some of the states won't matter in November, they're blue states.

Got it. More fear based logic from the Hillarious camp.

Nobody else has anything better to go on, either. That's a pretty fucking weak response.

How can you prove Obama won't lose all 50 states? You can't.

33. NJ had been considered a "battleground" in since 2000
and it's always gone blue in the end - by substatial margins.

I wouldn't get too worked up about NJ.

6. And why do you make this nonsensical assumption?
This meme of Obama not getting the votes of those who normally pull the straight Dem ticket in a GE because it's not Hillary is laughable.

7. Good luck with that theory. Even though you know it's BS
:) Again, another out of touch HillFan trying to say that the base won't vote for the Dem on the ticket. I guess you'll be voting for McCain then? By your theory, none of Obama's supporters will vote for HRC either, which is actually more likely if she tries to steal their voice at the convention :)

Yeah, good luck with that.

10. Yep, out of the blue all those "big state" Democrats are going to
say to themselves, "Golly, there's really nothing wrong with 100 years of war and the Republican rule over the past 7 years hasn't been all that bad. I really don't mind the house has gone into foreclosure and my last job is now in India, I kind of like McCain." Stupid and idiotic.

12. You cant use the primaries as a template for the GE. There will
be some sore losers from the primaries who will stay home and even a few who will vote for McCain. But like it or not the primary is more about personality than policy. That's why any conversations between Obama and Clinton about policy sound like nit-picking.

Obama will take those states, plus swing states and some red states.
He will be the best nominee for us and the Clintons know that. Their
egos are really getting in the way.

17. This "theory" is based on what?
Obama beats McCain in national polls by a lot more than the Clinton/McCain matchup.

There will be huge numbers of voters voting for Obama that will make those Hillary supporters unwilling to vote for a Democrat be pretty meaningless.

26. I'm willing to bet nobody here "hated" Daschle, and IMO it's disingenuous of you to claim otherwise.
He sucked as Majority Leader because he was soft spoken, but that doesn't mean he was hated as a Senator and a person.

Are you fucking nuts?

Does that also mean that Hillary will lose Illinois; and every other blue state that Obama won?

There is no sense or proof to their "big state " argument.
It's amazing what her supporters believe and run with.

31. Those maps are great.
Please post them in every thread with the "Obama won't win big blue states" argument.
That is the argument Hillary Inc is throwing out there, and the media eats it up. What a joke.
