27. Do you understand Obama has not released his returns? -just the final signed page plus a typed sheet |
|
Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 11:28 AM by papau
that supposedly summarizes the backup schedules that he refuses to release.
I am amazed the American press are letting him get away with this crap - but then the American press want Obama since it will be easier for McCain to defeat him in the general.

You guys are a little nuts on this issue.
never before were candidates expected to release them before garnering the nomination. This is a totally made up, trumped up issue pushed by Obama fans.

7. How about the ones from 2000-2006? She has no excuse for not releasing them! |
|
And come April 15, she will find another excuse to avoid releasing her tax records, which also includes all the schedules.

36. So, you can tell the future too. I am not a big fan of Hillary Clinton, |
|
but I am a fan of the right to privacy.
I think that she should release her tax returns - but since she has not, and the IRS is not chasing her campaign plane around the country, I assume her filing is legal. If it is not, I am sure that the IRS will demand their pound of flesh.
Has anyone considered that the Clintons simply have not filed yet? They have until April 15 too you know.

Her 2000-2006 taxes aren't done yet? Maybe we can nail her for tax evasion. |
|
Seems like she could just have her accountants fax them over if they were done, right?

unless it clearly states that we are petitioning her to release her past returns. All she has to do faced with the wording of this petition is say, "I already said I'd release them around April 15th."

only to,,, the peasants?
This is the Bush administrations fall back position - I am omnipotent - your laws do not apply.
When someone can demonstrate a legally binding requirement for presidential candidates to produce their tax returns I will go along with this.
Until then it is just a request by the citizens.
Maybe if you all ask a little more politely she might cooperate.

29. Thank you , and welcome to DU. I signed this yesterday. |
|
If there is nothing to hide, why wait. Don't they have accountants to do this sort of thing. Rather poor planning and management, I must say. How can Hillary run a country, if she can't even get her taxes done. My taxes are done. Of course, I am not trying to hide millions of dollars from questionable sources with strings attached. If this isn't true---then show us the money, Hillary.
Pisces (My birthday was yesterday, so I am a Pisces, too).
I hope you don't let some unwelcome comments of a few here on DU bother you. There is an ignore function. I have used it on a couple of occasions.
