No fucking way...Dream ticket? |
|
Dream ticket? Dream ticket? Some one want to send her a calculator? Number 2 or the 'loser' if you will, does not get to dictate anything to the number 1, or 'winner' if you will...what kind of petty little politician is she?
Man, I wish she would just go away.
A true Dream Ticket would be Obama/Biden....IMO...

3. Clinton/Obama Is A Dream Ticket, Would Be A Guaranteed Victory, And May Very Well Be What We Get. |
|
If she wins the remaining big states and can close the popular vote gap to even, the chances are quite likely that she will be atop the ticket, with Obama as VP. Gotta love it!

23. Yes, They Absolutely Could. Why Do You Think They Exist? Helllllloooooooo!!!!! |
|
They exist for a reason. All this talk about "roarrrrrrrr!!!! They HAVE to support who has the most pledges!!!" is insane and shows a blatant misunderstanding of the process. The SD's exist for a reason. If they were bound to voting the way of the pledges, THEY'D HAVE NO PURPOSE TO EVEN EXIST. But they do exist, and they exist for good reason.
So yes, they ABSOLUTELY could pick the candidate with less pledges. Try and educate yourself a bit. If Hillary can continue winning the big states, close the popular vote gap, and get national polls on her side, I'd wager she'd have the better case to make and better chance of being the nominee than Obama. And it would be fair, and part of the established process. Get over it.

Clinton clearly has the votes of more Democrats than Obama does. Why shouldn't the superdelegates support the person the party voters supported?

14. Never Said She Would, So Please Learn How To Read. |
|
She doesn't need to surpass him in pledged delegates. Like I said, and hopefully you can read it a bit more accurately this time, if she continues to win the big states and can close the popular vote to even (or even win it) then she has a quite likely chance at being the nominee. If you think that's not true, than it is you bub, who is kidding yourself.
Hillary should not bow out whatsoever, since she is quite still in the running. You want her to drop out because you're scared that in the end of it all, your guy may not in fact win.

Here is the unwritten rule for you: The superdelegates will give the nomination to the candidate with more pledged delegates.
Otherwise this election would be stolen.
And from reading your posts on this messageboard, you are the one who comes across as the ignorant one.

27. ROFLMAO!!!!!!! Oh You Silly Little Thing You, Please Educate Yourself A Bit More To The Process. |
|
You're looking a bit like a fool. When you actually learn how the process works and what it all means, come on back and maybe we could discuss further.
The SD's exist for a reason. If there was an unwritten rule that they have to give the nom to that with the most pledges, then they'd cease to have ANY reason for existing. But they do exist, don't they. Since they do exist, your unwritten rule is false on its face and shows how ignorant you are as it relates to this process.
And there would be no 'stealing' of anything. It would all be within the rules. It would all be legitimate. It would all be earned. It would all be in the best interests of the party. Learn. Educate yourself. Open your mind. Get over it.
Seriously, your posts make you look quite silly. I urge you to try and learn a bit more before you respond further, ok? :hi:

16. The talk of this morning shows |

was almost consistently that it may forced upon both of them to accept to run on a joint ticket in either combination for the sake of unity. The fact that the pundits say it does not make it so, but I am afraid that things have gotten (and are likely to continue moving toward) a point where it may become the only way to avoid an even worse alternative come convention time. I HATE the idea!

19. How arrogant, to offer your opponent the VP spot when you're losing. |
|
It won't happen. Even if Hillary can win the nomination by strongarming the SDs into voting for her against the will of the people in their states, she had better get herself a VP with some foreign policy experience, like she claims Obama doesn't have and is therefore unfit to be President. Because after all that hot air about her "experience" that she doesn't have either and the red phone at 3:00 a.m. crap, McCain would eat her lunch on that issue -- even though he's a warmongering bastard, he does have FP credentials. And Hillary will look like an ass having for claiming she's all that on FP. At least Obama has the common sense to tout his superior judgment (like opposing the war, which Hill was all for) over his experience.
Obama will need a strong foreign policy person for VP, too. And that isn't Hillary.

24. Unity Ticket - The Only Solution |
|
Since neither Obama nor Clinton can achieve the number of delegates required to win the nomination outright; and the Michigan and Florida debacle looms as an unresolvable nightmare; and the longer this conflict continues the more divided the Democrats will be and the better McCain's chances become. Therefore:
Hillary agrees to a single term and Obama runs as Vice President. The party is united and the Florida/Michigan issue becomes moot. If elected, she makes history and can institute her policies, yet shows her willingness to sacrifice her ambition (for two terms) for the good of her party and her country -- enhancing her popularity (and possibly even assuaging the anxiety of the Hillary-haters).
For Obama it's a good move for similar reputation-enhancing reasons -- he sacrifices his immediate presidential ambition for the good of party and country. In four years, he (presumably) becomes president while still relatively young (their relative ages make this the only workable sequence).
Any compromise requires sacrifice from both parties and this is the only deal that I can see working. Any other scenario will result in prolonged and increasingly bitter intra-party slashings, and will either require a dark-horse candidate like Gore or will split the party with disastrous electoral results.

This will never happen for two reasons. First, Clinton will NEVER accept the VP slot period end of story. Second, Obama is smart enough to know that he doesn't want to battle Bill Clinton every day for a meaningful role in government. Lets face it - Bill uses up all the available oxygen every time he walks in a room. Why would Barack want that head ache?

YOu mean those oh so reliable and never changing polls? As to electoral votes, show me proof or at least a valid argument that CA or NY or MA not to mention tiny and blue RI will turn a bloody shade of red if she is not the nominee, and then maybe we can have a rational conversation.
