1. Bill Clinton went on his show (there was a "surprise" guest host) to shill
Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 11:57 AM by wienerdoggie
for the Monster on TX/OH election day. So, perhaps the first person who should be asked "where's the outrage" is Bill and Hillary. Terry McAuliffe was on Laura Ingraham pushing Repubs to crossover to vote for Hillary on the same day. David Schuster and Samantha Power = bad. Rush and Laura = good and helpful. Why does anyone still respect the Clintons?

2. Bill Clinton did not go on Rush's show
that's a distortion.

as far as the 'outrage'? C'mon -- it's Limbaugh --people should be in a constant state of outrage about him. 24/7

4. He most certainly did
via the feed of Rush's "guest host" - meaning that the guest host's broadcast and interview was fed to and heard DURING Rush's noon - 3 pm EST timeslot for all his dittoheads to croak over.

9. Not only was it not really a guest host
it was a cut in to another Talk Show as a replacemnent.

It wasn't a real 'interview'. It was a canned series of Clinton answers (typically provided by politicians) with the host's 'questions' cut in after the fact.

12. Do you not know how radio stations operate?
Apparently not. The feed was broadcast during his slot. The arguments around here have been that it was only on some "local" station and did not occur during Rush's slot but it did. And it feeds into wingnut's embrace of the Clintons to the detriment of the party.

32. And so what is the specious argument that keeps getting promoted?

It aired during Rush's show on his 600-odd stations or whatever the crap number he's on.

15. Rush planned to be sick on Tuesday--he had a guest host all lined up.
Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 12:22 PM by wienerdoggie
And Bill Clinton has said not a word in protest--I would think if somebody tries to pass off a fake/edited interview as a real one, it might spark some outrage in the interviewee. After all, David Schuster said "pimp out" and Samantha Power said "Monster" and there was all kinds of indignation. None for Limbaugh letting his EIB network "cut and paste" a phony interview? Please. And if there WASN'T a coordinated effort by the Clinton campaign to go along with Limbaugh and Ingraham's plan to get GOPers to cross over and vote for Hillary on Tuesday, then why did McAwful go on her show and get 5 minutes to beg RWers to vote for her? I heard it with my own ears while driving to work.

Bizarrely, I actually heard this show.

These people are OPPORTUNISTS. Both Limpballs and the Clintons. It's astonishing.

33. And made it a point to engage in conversation.
They DO need each other. They are opportunists who toot each other's horn, no matter whether the publicity is negative or not.

Strange bedfellows indeed. They are users and not the type of material that needs to be occupying or advising those who occupy the highest office of the land.

19. Clintons and Limbaugh need each other. They feed off each other--
he turns them into victims and martyrs, and they get publicity and sympathy, and they are good for his ratings. Incestuous little thing they have going there.

23. On the day of the OH and TX primaries, Laura Ingraham had Terry
McAuliffe on her show--a show in which she said it was "all about electing Hillary"--and gave him five minutes to make his case to her RW listeners. Terry is the head of her campaign. Why is he going on a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy outlet--an outlet whose host mocks her and spreads what you Hillarites consider RW lies and freeper garbage? Why legitimize that? And on the same day as the Bill Clinton/EIB interview, too... Nope, couldn't POSSIBLY be a coordinated RW media push by the Hillary campaign, using the same VRWC outlets--the ones who want GOPers to cross over to vote for her and then "take a shower" afterward--that make all you Clinton lovers so disgusted. Suuuure. There are none so blind...

28. No, let me understand YOU--
the Clintonistas are the ones who believe the VRWC have persecuted her for 15 years, and you all claim to be disgusted with them, and turn into howling screech monkeys at the first sign of anyone on DU acting sexist, freeperish, etc. And yet...anything for a vote, right? That's OK, to elevate and validate them by sending in a former President (their supposed arch enemy) and the TOP campaign staffers onto the shows (or show TIMES) to beg what is presumably an audience full of GOPer idiots (who truly have no intention of voting for her in the general--get real--the "take a shower" comment was in heavy rotation) to commit hanky-panky and voter fraud. I feel sorry for you. You seem like a smart person, but you refuse to admit that sometimes Hillary and Bill cross a line of decency--they use the same forces they rail against, and have trained YOU to rail against, on their own behalf to advocate something dishonest. To my knowledge, no Obama campaign official has appeared on these programs. Obama actually has higher standards and won't stoop to validating that garbage, and yet he does get crossover support anyway--the genuine kind.

3. Where was the outrage of women's groups when Bill was groping women?
I think there is a lot of hypocrisy among many of the self-described feminists.

We see the same hypocrisy at play when we embrace tyrants because they are pro-US and condemn democrats that oppose US hegemony/

Except to vanilla, missionary position couples.

Cowgirl or reverse cowgirl isn't demeaning to women at all and men who aren't total bores love it, too, because it gives ready access to the chest area.
