Levin blames New Hampshire |
|
Edited on Sun Mar-09-08 12:07 PM by fadedrose
You can play the interview he had with ABC online.
Did New Hampshire design that horrendous ballot and approve it after all the main contenders (Biden, Edwards, Obama, etc) asked to have their names removed from it? Wasn't that a clue that maybe, just maybe the primary wasn't a good idea after all?
George asked Levin if he thought that approval of the primary results as they stood wouldn't favor Clinton, and Levin said he didn't think so, then quickly said it would have to be approved by that committee whose name I forget.
George didn't ask Levin about the people who didn't go to vote because of the goofy ballot or voted republican to help get a weaker candidate.
Sheesh what a bunch of phonies we have in office, and damn that New Hampshire anyway.

2. Actually it was Iowa and NH who lobbied candidates not to campaign in MI. |
|
Up to and including leaving their names off the ballot. Not the first time they have done this. The state roster should be placed on a lottery basis. On Wood TV's program, To The Point, this morning there was a good summation of how this began and what has been done so far. Its not up on the web yet.

5. And in the end Carl wants the current delegation seated... |
|
..as unfair as that would be But Carl is so secure in MI he can do whatever he wants anyhow--the republicans haven't even gotten close to toppling him for years. So I'm sure he really doesn't care about pissing of half his supporters.

The ballot we used in NH for this year's primary was pretty much identical to previous years, the only difference being the names on the ballot. NH? What the heck were these clowns talking about?

9. The national party wanted to give two smaller states (Not FL. or MI) a crack |
|
at an earlier primary date. NH objected and changed its date in reaction. Subsequent, MI and Fl, which had agreed to the earlier change in dates, said well so long as no one else is abiding by the rules, we're moving ours. Then they did enter legialtion that was passed by both repub's and Dems in both states. Unlike NH, Florida and MI were penalized but not NH. Once that happened, NH and Iowa told the candidates that they would not endorse the candidates who campaigned in MI.
See the web site I have listed above for a more succinct explanation. The video may not be up yet but ti should be later on.

12. New Hampshire must be at fault |
|
for not insisting that Michigan use their ballot. Damn that New Hampshire.
They should have known that Michigan's moronic elected officials wouldn't know how to construct a ballot for a primary supposedly giving voters a choice between all the candidates.
