Dean Says Solution for Democrat Dilemma Up to Florida, Michigan

``We can't have half the Democratic Party walk out thinking there was some deal cooked, and that's why their person didn't win,'' Dean said today on CBS's ``Face the Nation'' program. ``The loser in the race has to feel that they've been treated fairly.''

Florida and Michigan have two options, Dean said. They can hold a ``do-over'' contest or petition the convention's credentials committee to get their delegations seated.

1. He is not going to seat the delegates as is.
Read what he said carefully. No way will he simply give in to Hill. That ain't Howard. And boy do I know it.

2. What part of what he said implies that?
He's saying they must be seated with both sides agreeing upon it.

5. "We can't have half the Democratic Party walk out thinking there was some deal cooked" [...]
That implies to me that he isn't going to change the outcome of the delegations from either state if they are seated (though MI would probably have its uncommitteds reapportioned).

6. If you remember me, I was a Deaniac in 2004. He's politically astute.
Seating them is really the only option. When this is pointed out in madfloridians threads it gets ignored.

7. Can't seat them. All future primaries would be chaos.

4. I said from the start that neither had a mandate unless they could seat them.
Obama and Hillary are going to have to allow them to be seated if a redo cannot be compromised.

8. MI and FL delegations hotel reservations have been cancelled.
How does this fit into your picture?
