Well, well. Looky what I found...and on MSM, yet! (McCain's health status)
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23542188/

First, let me make it clear I'm NOT ill-wishing anyone.
Cancer is evil.

But...he's not releasing his health records this time until April (when he's going to be locked in OFFICIALLY after the primary).

The $6,400 dollar question here, methinks, is...
Who is he going to choose as his running mate?

Consider...he is the oldest man ever to run for President. Once you've had one, melanoma can recur at any time, and while The President has access to the best of health care, this particular man running for the office has age and previous medical history against him.

If it came down to it, chemo and radiation tend to really cut into one's day, not to mention one's energy and ability to think and make clear-headed decisions.
This man has already admitted he has 'anger issues'.

So...while the thought of a McClone McCain presidency is bad enough, I really, really want to know who he's going to tag as his successor.

Because I think THAT'S who will be carrying the standard, one way or another if the pubbies manage to steal it again this time.
:scared:

1. Someone who can take over when he croaks.
Then that person can appoint Jebbie or Goober (George P.) as VP.

:puke:

6. If they go with Sanford, that will mean they are extremely confident.
Sanford will add absolutely nothing politically to the ticket. South Carolina is in the Republican's pocket no matter who we choose. Even if the Democratic convention were to remain deadlocked and eventually broke for John Edwards, we might get North Carolina; but we would still lose South Carolina.

So if they are confident enough to go with Sanford, we are probably in deep trouble, at least from their eyes.

8. He keeps getting mentioned
so it means they are thinking
about it. Add that to the fact
that chimpy's campaign staff,
including Rove are now working
for McCain. It is a very real
possibility.

7. Crist Will Be His VP Choice - Which Is Why He Is Working So Hard To Seat The FL Delegates For HRC...
They want the weaker candidate in Nov.

9. McCain will need someone young and with evangelical street cred...
..or a woman

Kay Bailey Hutchinson's name has been mentioned (although the party faithful aren't thrilled with that one). Tim Pawlenty's name keeps coming up, Mittens can't be ruled out, nor can Huck or Sam Brownback. I've also heard Charlie Crist's name thrown out there. There's a young representative down in the Panhandle/West Coast region of Florida (the name escapes me) who is considered a young rising star who I've also heard mentioned several times, and I've also heard the SC Governor's name in that mix.

They won't go with another Bush on the ticket.

10. I could care less who he picks.
Neither one of them is going to live in the White House.

I know this because every single person I know (mostly non college educated middle and lower income folks) who voted Bush twice is now supporting either Hillary or Obama. This includes the evangelical, support the troops flag wavers in that group -- In GEORGIA no less.

2 months ago I said flat out no way does a D win in Georgia. Now I actually wonder.
