If Obama goes to the Convention with the lead in popular votes, pledged delegates and number of states won and it is turned over by superdelegates to Hillary you will see millions of new voters, blacks, and Obama supporters not vote Democrat in the fall. I expect it would be the same if Hillary went in with the popular vote lead, pledged vote lead, and number of states won. You are disenfranchising millions of people. I myself would simply not vote for president.
I think it would set the Democratic Party back for years and years. I am not crying over spilled milk, or taking my baseball and going home. We would simply be going back to party politics in the past. I also suspect that McCain would win in a cakewalk. It is not that Hillary would win the nomination instead of Obama, it would be how.

3. I agree that it would tear the Party apart |

I would have a hard time voting for Clinton in this scenario. I would certainly not do any work for the campaign.

It is mainly a symbolic move om my part (I'll still vote Democratic), but at least I'll feel better. And maybe I can take some satisfaction in watching the news as they talk about the mass exodus of people from the Democratic Party.

Eight years ago, I was one of only a few. There are a lot more that are sorry now. My Repug sister who thought he was the return of Christ agrees with me. I am glad that the village idiot will be going home. I just hope and pray that we don't have a republican again.
