4. You know, I couldn't quite figure out how Obama lost two contests
in which he'd been up 10-15 points by ALL polls. I think the connect-the-dots here show just how those "votes" were delivered to HRC instead.

...paper trails by 3%.

I knew then that something was crooked this year.

Whenever the exit polls are more than 2%-3% off from the final vote, something fishy went on.

The U.N. uses exit polls to validate elections in other countries to prove they are on the up and up.

Yet... in our country.... Ohio exit polls show Hillary winning by 3%, and she wins by 10%. They show Obama winning NH by 3%, and instead HILLARY wins by 3%.

Exit polls in California showed Obama and Clinton in a dead heat... and she wins by 9%.

But in the states the Obama won, the exit polling was amazingly accurately matched to the actual count.

Why is it that the discrepencies ONLY occurred in states that Hillary won?

Diebold.

24. Here is what really troubled me
I tied to accept the NH result explanations odd as it was that he'd win rural areas and not large towns which is how people explained the difference in hand and machine counts. I joked about "Farmers for Obama". I tried to let it go.
My suspicions actually weren't about Hillary, I was more suspicious of republicans who would prefer to deflate the tide whether they had to face him or Hillary later.
My other suspicion was reading that someone who bet Hillary (that trading markey on election) at the last minute got a big pay off...odds were over 99 to less than one. Imagine being a lowly paid county employee and you had the chance to turn your $2,000 savings into $200,000.
I know the ballots weren't properly stored or transferred and the memory cards not available but I didn't know how the recount didn't show anything if there was cheating. I still don't.

Then I saw this. This isn't some of us trying to sort the odds of this with our college statisrics skills, these are actual professionals. This is a pdf file

Hand Count versus Machine Counts

This analysis is like nothing I've seen. It really shows when experts do it. Variables of size and location are controlled for.
The New Hampshire election officials cooperated with sharing data with the authors. I don't have a clue.
There is much more detail and analysis at the link but I'll note some key findings.

In more basic comparisons done earlier (by Paul supporter) McCain/Romney showed a similar pattern to Obama/Clinton but analyzed here there were very different conclusions

New Hampshire Democratic Primary Election Results
Hand Count versus Machine Counts
by Kathy Dopp, M.S., Beth Clarkson, M.S., and Ron Baiman, Ph.D

Paired-Precinct Study of Obama & Clinton Hand vs. Machine Counts by Kathy Dopp

Each pair in this study of 25 pairs of New Hampshire precincts (50 precincts) is in the same county and has almost the same total number of votes counted. In this paired sample, the average size of a Diebold machine count is 754 votes cast and the average size of a hand-count is 763 votes cast.

A Paired-Precinct Study of the Republican NH Primary Election Results
The apparent “machine effect” of increased vote share due to Diebold machine counts for Republican Mitt Romney can be explained by precinct size I.e. Romney did better in larger precincts which may have been in less rural areas.

But some findings for Obama Clinton:
1. Clinton out-performs Obama (39.7% to 36.3% overall) whenever ballots are counted by Diebold machine rather than by hand; and
2. Obama out-performs Clinton (38.6% to 35.2% overall) whenever ballots are counted by hand;

If the same paired-precinct analysis is done by calculating vote shares as a percentage of Obama and Clinton votes only, the results are consistent with a vote flip between Obama and Clinton, as if a ballot programming error caused a vote cast for Clinton to be machine counted for Obama and vice-versa.

39. more on Penn:
Similarly, after Blackwater USA security guards killed 8 Iraqi civilians, the company turned to BKSH, a subsidiary of Penn's Burson-Marsteller, for strategic advice on how to minimize the negative impact of dealing with Congressional inquires.

Such conflicts only touch the surface. For the media, Burson-Marsteller and its affiliated companies could easily become a full-time beat pumping out a cascade of additional stories:

* The creation of such seemingly innocuous organizations as the National Smokers Alliance, European Women for HPV Testing, and the Coalition for Clean and Renewable Energy - organizations which are in fact the creation of corporations seeking to win lucrative support for contentious fights over smoking in public places, the promotion of highly-remunerative testing for a sexually transmitted human papilloma virus, and the expansion of nuclear power facilities.

* The laundry list of controversial Burson-Marsteller -- and its subsidiary BKSH -- clients includes US Smokeless (i.e., chewing) Tobacco, Johnnie Walker (distilled spirits), Morongo Casino Resort & Spa (gambling), Lockheed Martin (weapons), and Chevron Texaco (oil/gas) and Bristol Myers Squibb, GlaxoSmithKline, and Wyeth/Amgen (pharmaceutical).

* Penn's work for BOTOX, as described on his firm's website, sharply contradict Clinton's feminist commitments and ironically clash with her particularly strong support among older women:

"Burson-Marsteller worked to redefine the BOTOX image to speak to its benefits, drive a relationship with potential end users, minimize safety concerns and reflect its flexibility. Among the critical issues that needed to be addressed were consumers' perceptions regarding the side effects and toxicity of BOTOX Cosmetic....A multimedia initiative targeted key print, broadcast and online media outlets in top U.S. markets, and physician "key opinion leaders" conveyed scientific messages that provided objective, independent thought. The campaign resulted in more than 743 million positive media impressions for the BOTOX brand. Among prescription products, these results are second only to the benchmark launch of Viagra. In the first nine months of 2002, sales increased $90.3 million over the same period in the previous year. Media highlights include coverage in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsweek (cover story), Time, Associated Press, Reuters, Dow Jones, Bloomberg and UPI. The BOTOX brand was also featured in stories on "Good Morning America," "Today Show," "CBS Early Show," ABC, CBS, FOX CNBC, CNN, CNNfn, Fox News Channel and MSNBC.

* An equally controversial list of foreign clients including the Pakistan People's Party, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Colombia, Armenia, and Greece.

From the point of view of any news organization, Mark Penn, who has evolved from a relatively obscure Bill Clinton pollster into the helmsman of the Hillary Clinton campaign, is a walking, talking target -- an over-the-top example of the seductions of Washington, a lethal combination of political opportunism and corporate profiteering.

At this late stage of the campaign, it should come as little surprise that his top position in Hillary Clinton's enterprise would be used to question her campaign's judgment. A succinct portrait of Penn's liabilities was published as early as a year ago by the Washington Post in this relationship map:
