I just saw Casey Knowles, the "3AM girl" interviewed on MSNBC.... I had heard she was an Obama supporter, but not only that, she a political activist who is also a DELEGATE for her Washington state! How fricking funny (and IRONIC) is that?

8. Um, didn't you work when you were 17?
And wasn't your after school job a LOT less exciting than working an election?

If I were her parent I would absolutely allow her to become a precinct captain. I also wouldn't be surprised if this were an AP Government project at school.

34. ???
She was working as a child actor when she shot the footage used in the Clinton Ad many years ago. Presumably all those children were working since they are actors. Are you going to accuse Clinton of using child labor in her ads. This is silly. I would be a proud parent if I had a teenage daughter so involved in what is going on and taking so much iniative. She probably is a bright girl who is really interested in things and wants to participate. Why bash her or Obama? I am sure Clinton has many young supporters working for her campaign as well. Are you going to bash them or Clinton for this? It's irony that the girl from the stock footage Clinton used happens to be an avid Obama supporter, but this is not something to bash either of the candidates about.

noting she was a caucus precinct captian... Mika B. stated she was a delegate in the interview and Knowles confirmed. ;rofl:

http://video1.washingtontimes.com/bellantoni/2008/03/magnolia_state.html

Also worth noting, and all the buzz on cable news this weekend, one of the sleeping children featured in Clinton's 3 a.m. ad, teenager Casey Knowles, is actually an Obama supporter. And more than that, she was a precinct captain for Obama during the Washington state caucus.

Team Obama sent around the story, which is amusing. But what's mind-boggling to me is that the footage of Casey in the ad is nearly 10 years old.

5. I love this story.
The woman in NH who asked the question that caused Hillary Clinton to cry also voted for Obama.

Hillary Clinton says, "Thanks, Barack."

13. This is just a non story. Let's find out why many jAmericans
can't house and feed their children as well as this lucky child? She is lucky. Now let's move on and find cures for the economic crises that is impacting many 17 year olds before any more sign up for this war. It appears the only option many have for bettering themselves. I don't know who Casey Knowles is. So I oppologise if he/she is just a comedian and not a reporter. If this person is a reporter, please find out how more children can be as well feed as this 17 year old. Thanks.

16. I don't think she is a delegate
She said she was a precinct captain at the caucuses, but since she doesn't turn 18 until April and can't vote I doubt she could be a delegate. She is, however, as you say, an active Obama supporter

The convention is in August so she would be 18, in that case. All I can say is MSNBC anchor stated that as well as Knowles herself.

23. OH, THE HUMANITY!!!!
In most caucus states, you are allowed to caucus as long as you will be 18 on election day. That means 17-year-old can legally caucus.

Tempest in a teapot. On GDP. Whooda thunkit?

24. wow
The Hillary supporters in this thread have shown that they will latch on to any inane thing in order to degrade their next president. I'm starting to take issue with their assertion that we'll "need" them in November when so far they've been a liability in January, February, March....

31. Stock footage from years ago was used. They were not informed of it and didn't find out until her
brother recognized her on the television. They are not upset about her image being used, but the girl noted the irony that she had already been participating in Obama's campaign when the ad came out.
