"This is her first stop in Pennsylvania and its all about highlighting her blue-collar, local roots. Her grandfather spent his career at Scranton Lace Co."

1. The Obama camp should just say this is one of Hillary's home states so
she should win big - over 20 points - but they will campaign there because they campaign everywhere including Mississippi today and North Carolina, Indiana, etc. Penn is a state just like all the others.

The phrase "one of Hillary's home states" should be repeated frequently.

2. "What a sweet child she appears to have been. Who would ever have guessed?"
From "Grandma".

That comment is my favorite. ;)

How convenient for Hillary. Another "home" state. How many does that make now?

I'm also wondering if there is a correlation between those states she claims as "home" states & those that "matter."

Count me as one middle-aged woman who won't be voting for Hillary.

What's that in her hand? Is that a handgun?

Posted by: olucy | March 10, 2008 9:03 AM

I guess this is her response to Obama's childhood in Indonesia? In either case, I don't seem how what they did at that age counts as experience that is so relevant to the White House. Unless we are talking about Hillary's learning to shoot a gun. Let's just wait and see the Vince Foster conspiracy theorists pick up on this one!

I dont about you, but I am really tired of Hilary, this video is just another ploy to get votes, and its getting worse. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!

I won't be voting for Hillary either. I would prefer that the first woman president be someone with integrity, someone who can lead without reinventing herself for each issue and someone who does not have a husband named Bill Clinton.

Hillary as a toddler ... now THAT'S looking toward the future!! Funny how she suddenly loves Pennsylvania again after all these years. The only states important to Hill are those where she can win. The others? Don't matter. Forget about 'em! Welcome to HRC's Divided States of America ... haven't we been polarized enough these last 8 years?

Let me guess...is she counting this as part of her 35 years of experience?

Hillary certainly lived a nomadic life growing up. Did she come from a family of gypsies?

Ok, last time I checked Park Ridge, Illinois wasn't too blue collar. Come on Obama you have to point out she has been a rich kid her entire life and is no more blue collar than Romney. Come on she has been rich her entire life!!! You should say, when I heard how people were talking about the elite candidate and the blue collar candidate I thought they confused the biographies. I worked from the bottom, Sen. Clinton has been part of the elite her entire life. Shoot, if SNL wasn’t so completely biased towards Clinton they would make fun of her acting as if she is her husband and even ‘remembering her days growing up poor in Arkansas . . . oh wait I grew up rich in Chicago.

Ok Obama, you hit her on NAFTA, but what true middle class blue collar workers hate is China. You need to point out how much money both her and her husband take from China and how many shady dealings they have had with Chinese companies and ‘citizens’. For goodness sake a company that’s a front for the Chinese government netted ol’ Bill $700,000 just last year. NAFTA is great but China is the key to the Midwest.

Oh, dear God! Hillary has admitted learning to shoot a gun as a child! It's a good memory for her - part of her Idyllic childhood summers. How does that fit into her new "anti-gun" image?

And Hillary said she learned how to shoot a gun.

The little girl does have something in her hand that looks like a gun. Now I wonder if it was added for the subliminal effect.:tinfoilhat:

4. OP thanks for sharing the video, it was cute
I noticed it was in the Chicago Tribune, which endorsed Obama and of course south side Chicago being where Obama started his political career.

8. I had forgotten, she was raised in Chicago
But, I don't know where Park Ridge is. I spent a little time in Chicago when I was working on my Trauma Nurse Specialist and did my weekend clinicals at Cook County Hospital. Back then the hospital was using wooden wheelchairs and had an elevator operator, LOL.

10. At this point, is there any place that she is not from?
I tease. I tease.

But seriously, if she shows up in a Phillies cap, all bets are off.

11. Yeah. She needs to come up with a "TEAM CLINTON" logo.
After all, it's the only team she's loyal to.

12. Ahhhhhhhhhh, she looks adorable!!!
What a pretty little girl she was and what a good looking woman she still is today.

Her father was from Scranton and the family vacationed in PA most summers while she was growing up. What's wrong with reminding folks of that fact?

:)

it's a really nice vignette...and I say this as someone who voted for Obama in the primary. People have got to get a grip here...it's a campaign.

"point point" thing since she was 2!

A shame she didn't win her REAL "home state" of Illinois. Oh well.

16. Point Point
This, of course, was long before she incorporated the "clap clap". I guess the game wasn't as sophisticated back then.
