I'm feeling some serious Biden nostalgia
Imagining him against McCain, giving him the spanking he deserves for his hawkish FoPo, stay-the-course Iraq policy, and lame-ass domestic agenda.

Imagining NOT having the experience and achievements of our nominee being called into question.

Having the worst scandal on the horizon being a debunked charge of plagarism from 30 years ago.

The ability to be sincere, engaging and substantive - at the same time.

Our candidates have their strengths, and either of them can still win, but this would be a cakewalk if it were Joe.

I remember the context of his "Noun, verb and 9/11 crack" - it was in the middle of a Hillary dogpile, and Joe gracefully stepped aside of it and focused his attack on Rudy.

1. I started out supporting Biden
and really think we threw
away the best candidate when
he dropped out.

3. You're not alone, rucky!
Back in December I was dreaming of a Biden-Obama ticket! B-)

I am still unsure about putting Obama at the top of the ticket. Especially against McCain.

That's why I hate to see so many folks here trying to destroy the only remaining alternative. Hillary.

7. Obama could still pull it off...
by playing to his greatest strength. The ability to inspire can trump experience.

Hillary's got Bill and we all have higher points on the economy. I'm just wondering why our candidates are hammering each other, instead of trying to get voters excited, and trying to see who can take the best swipe at McCain. That's the kind of campaign we'd be seeing from Biden right about now.

5. Obama / Biden.
Like the Bush / Cheney ticket, except not evil. Bush made many Americans (especially ignorant ones) feel good about themselves (in a lazy, self-serving way) and Cheney had the age and connections that passed for experience. Obama makes Americans, especially historically marginalized Americans) feel good about America, and Biden's got a lifetime of fine service.
