2. That helps Clinton
since Obama gets more republican votes than she does.

17. Doesn't matter
Obama gets more republican votes than Clinton. In a closed primary, she benefits.

28. Wrong.
The Republicans that voted for Obama want him as President, and will therefore register for this closed primary. The Republicans that voted for Hillary will not register as Democrats to vote for her.

33. Obama has received a ton of Republican votes
Just because the Limpballs story in Texas is fresh, let's not forget the large numbers of Republcians who say they will vote for Obama in November and have voted for him in the primaries. Please don't be a hypocrite - in fact, Hillary actually benefits from the closed primary, so what does that tell you?

11. That's the highest percentage of GOP votes she has gotten.
Rush Limbaugh has been telling his listeners to cross over and vote for her to keep her in the race. Bill Clinton went on his show before the primary to campaign for her!

4. It has always been that way.
Voters must register by March 24 and Independents cannot vote in the primary.

10. "Thieve the vote?"
You know that caucuses are legal, right? You know that they've been used in many many primary contests in the past?

It's only been during this election season that I've ever heard anyone complaining about caucuses being undemocratic, and I've only heard it from supporters of a certain candidate who shall remain nameless, and who would rather blame the system than learn how to organize for a caucus.

16. I get it...
All caucuses have been "won" until 2008, when they were "thieved." Got it.

25. No, by getting people to "BE A DEMOCRAT FOR ONE DAY"...One of Obama's tactics to stack the vote...
getting people to vote against Hillary. Voters who have no intention of voting for him in the GE...just so they can get her knocked off the election. That's what Obama is guilty of.

9. You CAN however change your registration for the primary and
then hange it back right after voting. I used to live in Pgh. and it was very easy to do. I even did it by mail and didn't have to leave the house.

38. Nope, not in PA when I live there. I'm ashamed to say that I changed
my registration to vote for McCain in 2000. I fell for the open seemingly honest straight talk express, and I wasn't thrilled with Gore and detested Shrub! I changed my registration to Pub and voted for McCain back then, and the day after the voting I switched back to a Dem. In the GE I voted for Gore.

McNuts has really turned me off since then! His link to Shrub and war loving attitude will sink him this year too...I'M POSITIVE!

Obama's team is working on registering independents.

Don't know if Clinton's team is working on registration or not.

Not with the reputation independents have for going Obama. If they're doing any registration, they're probably going after the unregistered and Republicans.

22. Yah but....how close to the primary can people register for either party?
Pennsylvania
March 24, 2008 is the last day to register before the Pennsylvania presidential primary. (30 days before the primary)

http://www.dos.state.pa.us/bcel/site/default.asp

Go to important dates. Wonder how registrations are going there.........
