PETITION: "Super Delegates: Stop the Damage, Pledge for Obama" - Please Sign
Edited on Mon Mar-10-08 12:39 PM by DeadElephant_ORG
Petition text:

Super Delegates: Stop the Damage, Pledge for Obama NOW

To the Democratic Super Delegates:

Recent statements by Senator Clinton which suggested that the Republican nominee is better qualified to serve as President than our own party's front-runner for the nomination, Senator Obama, have caused irreparable harm to the Democratic Party. Before further damage to our party occurs, we ask you to rebuke Ms. Clinton, and to publicly pledge your support for Obama TODAY.

My friends, this is the only graceful way to bring the Democratic primary election to a close. Let's get focused on unhorsing the Republican juggernaut!

...and please let DU know that you signed. Thanks.

1. Don't pledge to Obama, just pledge to the candidate with the most earned delegates. . .

It's only good if it favors Obama.
Otherwise it's outrageous.

10. Obama is the only candidate who can unite the party now.

All you're doing is damage, and you know your candidate is hopelessly behind. Why not join us to help win in the fall?

11. Not only do they have petitions on DU but today Al Sharpton
Was in Miami today getting people to sign a petition not to have a re-vote. It seems to me if Obama can't win the election on his own these back room deals and arm twisting seems to be his MO, typical beltway politics. The politics of change is only good on the campaign trail, then it's back to business as usual.

14. I think you have the facts on this matter
back asswards !! He's fighting for a new vote, because many Democrats who were "savvy" that their votes weren't going to count, stayed home from the polls, and he thinks their votes should be counted also!! God , can't you people read, or even listen ???? :spank:

16. You hope it makes a difference???
Please get with the plan. There have been lots of petitions sent to superdelegates from both candidates. I even signed a few for Hillary myself.

18. Well, did you miss the petition that we had going around
For the superdelegates when Obama endorsed Reagan? :) BTW, I'm not afraid because there is probably hundreds of these things floating around the real world outside of your little piece of cyber space.

20. The circumstances for Hillary at this moment are precarious.
She knows it. And you know it. If there is any significant move towards Obama by the as-yet-undeclared Super Delegates, Hillary's campaign is FINISHED. Arm-twisting the Super Delegates at the convention is the only card she has left. But if I was a Super Delegate, I'd be mighty mighty pissed at that woman right now.

whatever thing you signed, whenever you signed it, is irrelevant. Your candidate is in deep shit. And if this petition continues to grow rapidly, the timing might be just right.

You should be afraid.

21. Oh that's right, you really don't need a petition
I heard on either CNN or MSNBC Obama has spent millions of dollars on the superdelegates so they are already bought, paid for and in his pocket. Of course, Hillary has spent hardly anything compared to Obama, or at least from what the commentators have said.

22. Hillary has "a lifetime" of arm-twisting and corruption. Obama has $ from millions of donors.
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 12:14 AM by DeadElephant_ORG

Her's has always been the candidacy of the elite Party insider. Big donors. Big political favors. But a small base of support.

24. What facts did I get wrong about Al Sharpton?
Please tell me the facts I got wrong. It's a known fact he supports Obama and doesn't support Hillary and it's also a fact he has a law suit against FDP/State of Florida, it's also a fact he was in Miami this morning petitioning, and, it's also a fact he was on tv tonight arguing over Louis Farrakhan and Rev Wright, and, it's also a fact he talked about Billy Graham. So, please tell me what facts I got wrong. For The Record, it's pretty obvious he's working against Clinton in every possible way to get Obama the nomination.

27. You said he was in Fla. to get signatures NOT to have a re-vote.
WRONG He's in Fla. to get the disenfranchised that didn't vote, because they were told their votes wouldn't count, a chance to VOTE !! You know.......the intelligent voters that support OBAMA??? Since when is AL Sharpton an Obama supporter? Show me some data to prove that statement!!
