1960 Primary race... Lyndon Johnson offers JFK the VP spot on his ticket....
No.......not really.....

but that's equivalent to what Hillary is trying now.

"Kennedy isn't experienced enough"

"It's not his turn"

"He can't win the 'big' states like Texas and Florida against Richard Nixon"

"A lot of people might have a problem with his religion(Kennedy)/Race(Obama)"

If this were 1960.... would Johnson be saying things like:

"Both myself and Vice President Nixon are prepared to answer that red phone at 3am. Senator Kennedy is not. He does give a great speech, though."

Excellent and well reasoned analogy.

Helps immensely in clarifying what Hillary favoring McCain really smells like!

5. Based on what? In 1960, Kennedy was a first-term junior senator and was only 41 years old...
Obama is 4 years older than him, and actually has MORE elected experience than JFK had when he ran.

By the way.... JFK's little brother AND daughter both disagree with you.
