My die-hard Republican bro-in-law is voting for Kerry
Seems he discovered bush is a liar. I got this email from him this morning.

xxxxxxx

I thought this would make your day.

I am sure that you know that I am a research buff. Based off my political research, I have found our beloved president to be a lying sack of sh__. I will be voting Democrat in this upcoming election.

I understand that you are doing some work for the party in xxxxxxxx. I am not sure how much work you will have to do. Busch is having so much trouble that he can't seem to see the forest because of the trees. He is so fundamentally full of crap that I don't think he will be able to buffalo the American public enough to get re-elected. Good luck in your work though, I have always found it fulfilling to do volunteer work.

Anyway, I thought that you would enjoy hearing that I have abandoned my beloved Republican party. Granted, I am not a full convert I will probably return once there is someone that spends more money on the Americans than on the rest of the screwed up world. I just don't understand why you would spend 40 billion dollars fighting AIDS in Africa when you American citizens can't get jobs.

Anyway, have a great day.

xxxxxx

Now, I could think of a whole list of worse things Bush has done than the money to Africa for AIDS, but at least he is turning away from Bush, so I won't push it. I was shocked to get this message from him the way it is.

He is from Minnesota, a swing state, and a Christian fundamentalist die-hard Republican. So this is good news.

LL

1. Bless him
There may be hope for us. Does he like to read? I suggest 'House of Bush- House of Saud. Helps me to put into context the BFEE and what I missed while I was living my life.

3. .
Yeah, don't reply with direct insults against Bush.
Reply instead that one can't have a great day with the desaster that Bush has done to Iraq.

4. strange though how the tens of thousands of deaths
caused by shrubs lies and decisions were not the reason for the turn off, but rather money for fighting aids in africa. we are all strange bedfellows.

5. I'm afraid to ask him where he stands on the Iraq war
I'm afraid I won't like the answer.

Or the Patriot Act, I wonder if he really undeerstands it. Or a whole host of other things.

6. Ask him to share his conversion with his former fellow die-hards
It would mean a lot more from a convert than from you.

7. He's pretty opinionated and I'm sure the rest of his Republican
family is getting an earful. I don't try to convert die-hards, and I didn't convert him.

We just got into it a couple times because he knows I hate Bush; he is out of state and I don't see him often. :)

8. I could just kiss you, Livid....this is a GREAT report.
If you really want him to lose the fundie Christian thing tell him to research the links between most of the fundie leaders like Tim LaHaye and their longtime alliance with Rev. Moon. He should research Moon and the Bushes, too.

The fundies learned Moon's mind control techniques....thus, we have Left Behind books.

10. Great! Next step...
is to convince him that Bush's money to combat AIDS in Africa was not nearly enough.
