Where have all the polls gone??
For the past year we've been seeing polls between jr. and his various rivals about every 2 or 3 days. Now that the battle has been wittled down to * v. Kerry, those polls are few and far between. What's the deal?

1. now that you mention it, I'd have thought there would have been

plenty of poll results after that excellent performance on TV the other night <snicker>. Haven't seen anything.

2. Something tells me that
x( if there'd been any polls showing that the public like *'s performance, the media whores would be falling all over themselves to tell us about them.

3. That performance may be the reason why we're seeing no polls.
The rightwing just can't deal with truth in advertising.

4. We all know what a psychological barrier breaking forty headed down
would be for Asshole Bush. I imagine he has accomplished just that with his press conference performance.

Once he starts showing up in the mid 30's, he cannot recover...IMHO. He is probably there already.

Those neck-and-neck polls were Bullshit, and everyone knew it.

Eventually, the Press is just going to have to admit the nogood SOB is on his way out!

Kerry should start thinking about helping some of our Congressional and guberanatorial candidates.

Left and Liberal landslides are happening all over the world...it can happen here too.

9. My brother-in-law told me he heard that Bush told someone privately
that he did'nt really care about losing...that it would just give him more time to play golf.

This is at odds with his public statements wherein he refuses to even admit the possibility of defeat...but if you think about it, very much in character with what we know this very, very small man is really like.

George Bush is a loser, in more ways than one.

AS the anticipated electoral vote totals have dropped for both candidates:

Kerry has 12 sure states for 189 electoral votes down from an anticipated 196 last week.

But Bush now has 175 electoral votes in 16 states down from 202 last week. Last week Florida was considered to be Bush territorry but this week is is said to be too close to call again, because the latest Rasmussen Report has superceded the Mason Dixon Polls and has Kerry at 47 percent in Florida and Bush at 46 percent.

New York has also moved from Leaning towards Kerry to solidly in the Kerry camp:

April 14, 2004 -- Giuliani is strongest candidate for NY Governor, Quinnipiac University poll finds; Kerry has double-digit lead over Bush in New York

Bush 36% Kerry 53% other 2% Quinnipiac Univ. 4/5-12/04 2.7%
