No gain for Obama, this win was expected.

1. I loathe Carville, but he has a point
MS was supposed to be a cakewalk for BO. It would have only been news if he'd lost.

15. When I look at this...
it appears to me that Hillary is as likely to take PA as he was as likely to take MS.

I would bet that she takes PA, KY and WV and he will take the rest.

19. It's news he handed HIllary another 20 point defeat.
She has done that to Obama only once--in her home state of Arkansas. THis is Obama's 19th.

32. So at the convention
when Hillary stands up to give her concession speech will she say that this was as expected and proceed to declare herself the Democratic nominee?

12. That's what I was thinking - again it was a subtle statement about RACE
As in, "Mississippi doesn't count because we knew Mississippi would go to Obama because Mississippi has a lot of black people." A voter is a voter is a voter. *&*%$ Carville!

The Clinton campaign is over the top in a way that shocks me - again!

17. Even if the Dems don't win that state...
shouldn't Dems in that state still be allowed to participate in the process? Or do only Dems in blue states count for anything?

27. It just means in terms of the GE the state is meaningless, unless
they are one of the few states that award electoral votes proportionately - but I don't think they do.

even larger in fact than it was. i was expecting 22/11, 21/12, and instead it's 20/13 or something.

10. Whether it was expected or not, it is a win
The problem is that Mississippi will never go Dem in the general election.

It's wonderful that African Americans are supporting Obama so well; unfortunately, that very fact will cause the majority of white voters in Mississippi not to vote for Obama.

(90% of African Americans voted Obama, but only about 30% of the whites did.) There aren't that many white Dems in Mississippi. Most of the whites are Repubs.

He did say it is no political gain. And he was not saying this after Hillary took Ohio. It's bullshit spin.

29. No political gain?
It is 7 or 8 more superdelegates that Hillary has to somehow convince to vote for her.

doesn't matter, carville..and Wyomin' and now Texas..oh what a shame Obama got more delegates in Texas than your girl.

And all the other states Obama won that you and your ilk say, "don't matter". Good strategy you BOZOS have.

Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 11:34 AM by Bad Thoughts
Now that it's expected, it won't count.

ETA: While I'm at it, let me call all the races and superdelegates as I would like it. That way, we can end the race today and I'll be happy.

33. I watched him
he didn't say that.

He said since Obama was expected to win, it doesn't really change the dynamics of the race. He didn't say the state didn't matter.

Why do people lie so much here?
