Obama Victory interview on CNN: I'll support HRC if she's the nominee |
|
WTF? Why would HRC be the nominee? He went on to say that she's capable and qualified.
I'm not saying he should tear the woman apart, but he admitted in the interview that he's not so sure that the HRC is treating his campaign with respect.

1. It's called "the high ground" |

I wish a few more DUers on GDP would visit this spot. The view is nice.
To clarify more: it costs him nothing to act like a grown up here. It would cost Clinton nothing to do the same, but obviously she hasn't figured that out yet. By being magnanimous here, he's acting like an elder statesmen. He's putting the party ahead of his own career (at least in rhetoric) at a time when there's damn little chance that he'll actually follow thru on this promise.
But more to the point, he's right to say this. If Clinton does wind up with the nomination, he'll need to support her anyway. There won't be a responsible alternative and he's all but assured the nod in 2012 or 2016. Almost as certain as Clinton was assured the nomination starting in November 2005.

4. When did Hillary ever say she wouldn't support Barack if he were the nominee? |
|
I know you've got the McCain comment in mind, but since "the high ground" is referring to his statement that he'll support her if she's the nominee, then for her to take the low ground would be to say that she would not support him if he's the nominee.

6. The thing about the high ground is, there's room enough for two. |
|
Really, she should also come out and say she's support him if nominated. I'm not comparing Obama to her. I only state that it was a good thing for him to have said. If she says the same thing, I'll embrace her being classy too.
She has but to say the words.

11. Saying he would suppot Clinton if she were the nominee is a presumption that he's won? |
|
You're deluded. Your remarks make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

13. Of course it is. When he was behind his surrogate said she'd have to think about supporting Clinton. |
|
Now, presuming the nomination is his, he grandly offers to support her should she win. Transparent condescension.
Your inability to make senses of it is not a delusion of mine.
