19. Right....cause Black people are just props...and their vote really doesn't count!
Tell to Blacks in Ohio, Missouri, Pennsylvania, California, Nevada, and see what Hillary's got left to win if, and that's a big if, she got the nomination.

And if she doesn't get the nomination, I invite White women to stay home or vote for McCain...and lose their reproductive rights! That should be worth it.

Thank God the days of Black men hanging from trees due to them looking at White Women are gone.
And thank God that Black people can vote these days without intimidation.
Lotsa of progress in MS.....considering the history.

And no, I'm not touchy....cause I'm just one of those "prop" votes you just discounted.

42. One thing about Black folks.....we keep it real!
"being propped up by the AA vote 9:1"

What did I miss by your quote? What was your point?

There is still a minority of Blacks that represent the Democratic party in Mississippi; 37%.
That means Hillary had a chance at that 37% plus 63% of the White vote....so it is not what Barack was propped up by, but simply that Hillary didn't win enough votes, period.

What I think you failed to see by that comment is that votes are votes, and just like Hillary gets "propped" up by the woman vote in the Democratic party (as there are more voting Dem Women than men), and sometimes the racist vote, I still wouldn't say that....cause wouldn't matter...as a win is a win.

Bottomline, a vote is a fucking vote. Live with it.

It ain't like all of the rules are just out of the door, and you can say just anything you want and think that you aren't gonna get called out on it. I realize that it's the "in thing" to be overt about this tripe that you spout due to the "herd mentality of the ignorants".....but you need to check yourself...cause this is still a progressive site, even for those currently regressing.

Honestly I am thinking about writing Skinner a letter asking him to shut down this particular forum and go through it to ban any of the racist pigs that seem to make their rounds as some Clinton Supporters here.

Frankly this has become WAY WAY WAY beyond disgusting as I watch racism and ageism RAMPANT on this forum. This has become a mad house where many Clinton Supporters just log in to start shit in my view.

Let me give you a big clue. Your kind of attitude is starting to fade away in America. The younger people and the reasonable people REJECT the kind of bullshit discrimination holding back our country for 200 years. They are looking towards the FUTURE rather than being bigots.

So yall are exposed now. Clinton is partially Exposed for what she really is.. The party lays nearly completely destroyed as it slowly orbits in pieces. Yall have done your absolute worst and the resulting mess will take multiple months to clean up.

Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 10:30 PM by PseudoIntellect
Do you see how hard it is going to be for her to make any kind of comeback?

Obama wins by slightly greater than 3 to 2 by percentage, but the delegates might go only 18 to 15! Even if Hillary wins 60/40s (which she rarely ever has) in states like PA, IN, and WV, she won't make up very many delegates. That's why 160 is a lot bigger than it seems.

Oh yeah, another net loss makes her math even harder.

When General election time comes the south will not be in our column. I know those who support Obama think Mississippi is a big win but in the big picture it is not. Neither Hillary nor Obama is going to take any of the deep south. But we don't need to. Elections can be won without the south. Just not as easy.

59. And it's partly about forcing the GOP to commit resources
In a year when it looks like the Democrats can out-fundraise the Republicans, every state we can force the GOP to defend that they might normally take for granted is an advantage. If the Republicans have to spend money in Mississippi that they can't really afford, or pander to the Huckabee voters at the expense of wooing middle class suburbanites somewhere else, that's a couple of pluses right there.

Idaho is not known for having a huge black population yearning to finally get to vote for a black man.

Ditto the Dakota, MN and Kansas vote.

Oh, Nebraska too

The only part of this race that is really about race is the lame ass attempts HRC surrogates make to stir up that old time racism that seems to be much less in America today than most of us had dared hope.

I live in Montana. I live in a very red county. Have heard lots of neighbors say they would vote Obama in the GE against McCain. They also say they would vote McCain in GO against Hillary. They are all pretty damned white and the age leans heavily toward the boomer generation and older.

Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 11:02 PM by candice
As long as he was confined to Arkansas, the right-wing hate machine didn't bother with him (and may not have even existed--but the Clintons did threaten to bring a new day to America--had to get those gays in the military as the first agenda, didn't you Bob Dole?

Reagan announced his Presidency in Philadelphia, MS, where Civil Rights workers were murdered. It was a code that white racists now had a party to join.

The Republican Party needed more votes to keep giving tax cuts to the wealthiest and to continue to diminish the good that government can provide, such as a functioning F.D.A. Recruiting bigoted people added votes.

I can tell you these are not going to vote for the Dem.

This is repuke terrority. You can just give all those electoral votes to the repukes. Hillary might be able to carry Tennessee and Arkansas but that is it. Now that Obama does not want a revote in Florida, we can kiss that state goodbye too. Good luck with Idaho and South Dakota. By the way, do not forget Tom Daschel as majority leader could not even hold his senate seat.
