17. Yeah, I don't think they did
I'm not sure why. If I were Obama I would have stayed in Mississippi and given a victory speech in order to encourage more media coverage of his win and chance the "Clinton rebound" narrative. I guess they haven't stayed in states after the polls closed since Super Tuesday, but it might have made sense tonight, since there are 6 weeks until Pennsylvania.

6. Was she supposed to ?
Where was she supposed to appear to give these congratulations? I didn't know this was a standard every time a state was recognized for its support of a candidate during the primaries? They might give a speech, but it's not normally some kind of concession.........

13. Agreed.
It's just an opportunity to get a dig at the other candidate and for the OP to look petty in the process.

10. Just asking if one candidate is as capable of gracious behavior as the other has been
There is nothing petty about good manners. But then, HRC campaign thinks the majority of the states are petty, so I could see the confusion.

16. I heard on CNN that she did
She did not give a speech tonight, but she issued a statement congratulating him and thanking her supporters in Mississippi. Props for that.

I wonder why Obama chose not to give a victory speech to encourage the media to make a bigger deal of his win and not dismiss it.
