Kerry: "...I don't even have nightmares about George Bush
and this election."

(In response to Russert's question about Vietnam flashbacks/nightmares)

And people say JK doesn't have a sense of humor. I'm still gigglin over that one...

2. Kerry is articulate and intelligent..

...something we haven't seen from any of our national leaders for 4 years. God, he's a good speaker. I wish the debates would start tomorrow. Bush is going to get his ass handed to him.

3. George has already had his ass handed to him.
He keeps trying to give it back, but nobody's buying.

4. .
Why did Russert ask that question?
Do they try to paint him unstable like it was done to McCain?

5. I assume that was the point, and of course Kerry
Edited on Sun Apr-18-04 12:58 PM by LandOLincoln
handled it beautifully, IMO. Tossed that grenade right back into Russert's lap.

Of course, now the politically tone deaf are all over Kerry for his alleged callowness on this issue, in failing to recognize that not ALL Vietnam vets escaped unscathed psychologically, etc. etc.

Sigh...why does it seem so often that the PTD are the majority here on DU? Is it because the online community in general skews very, very young? Is it because the concept of black humor escapes them totally? Is it because they have no sense of humor atall?

I mean, WTF???

edit for punctuation

7. Exactly. All that question did was make McCain angry all over again
at the Bush tactics against him in 2000. McCain and most every other veteran.

That can only be good for us.

6. Kerry might not
but I did the other night. Frightening dream -- Bush wins with over 500 EVs.
